[@Gentlemanvaultboy] Could have been, it was really the stress of the whole ordeal that caused some of his necrotic energy to leak out, which he himself doesn't even know he has that power.
I won't spoil too much, but the 'cult' he was born into are obviously not good people, their all necromancers, and there is a lot of sub conscience trauma for both his own powers and the very concept of death.
