Nate, Vin and JJ had finally made their way out of the city, miraculously avoiding any further complications with the law. Although Nate knew it was probably only a matter of time if his passengers had anything to do with it. They had an annoying habit of getting into trouble. Sure, he did too but it was less entertaining when other people did it. Still, it was much quieter out here and Nate knew that any law enforcement they did run into would probably be a lot easier to deal with than the city cops who seemed to have a hard-on for him for some reason. He couldn't imagine why...Oh yeah. All the murders. He had mostly tuned out the noise coming from JJ and Vin by this point and was deep in thought. The concussion didn't exactly help him maintain his focus on the road and he felt his vision blur slightly. His head began to bob back and forth gently. When he realized he wasn't really paying attention to the road in front of him, he squinted and tried to focus. His vision cleared too late though and he noticed a man in the road. He slammed on the breaks just as he heard JJ scream. Or maybe it was Vin. He couldn't really tell. The car stopped too late, the tires screeching to a halt, and the man hit the hood of the car, rolling up over Nate's head and tumbling off the roof to the back left of the car. Nate slowly lowered his window and peaked out at the crumpled mess of a human being lying in the road. He hadn't been hit terribly hard. He would probably have some pretty bad injuries but they were likely no worse than Nate was suffering himself. All the same, Nate peered down at him for a moment, slowly raising an eyebrow as he waited for any sign of movement. He didn't want to have to stop and deal with this. Not now. Pulling his head back into the car, Nate sighed and said "He's probably fine." [@Automaton] [@Xandrya] [@Rawk]
