The simple serene quiet of the plains of Dantooine were as expected, calming and soothing to the soul. Ken sat legs crossed and his face placid as he let the force do as it would with his body. His hands were laid flat out on his lap. His senses heightened and his emotions calm he felt the calm force of the light side wash over him. To his direct left sat his master whom had taken a much more by the book stance. It brought back memories simple ones but genuinely ones that young Ben didn't think he would ever forget. The day at Coruscant when he would finally receive a master. Master Nim praising his work ethic. The training among the wookies on their home world. Org and he simply sat together in silence. The need to catch up replaced by the remembrance of a familiar ritual. Two friends simply resting enjoying each other's company for what it was worth. Org would normally talk more but it seemed he sensed Ken's apprehension from earlier and had opted not to talk or ask about it. In Ken's mind it'd probably come up only if he wanted it too. Org only helped Ken when he asked for it. Training forced onto someone or words of wisdom not asked would be lost on a mind not seeking it out. Or at least that what Ken was taught by Nim before Org took the reins over on Ken's training. Ken remembered the moment all too well. He was in his learner's outfit and he had gotten out of bed. He had no lightsaber at the time so he had walked around the temple with little else but his clothes on his back and a book in hand. However this time around he had finally be called upon with the other padawans to talk to their new masters. Ken had expected too be rejected. Too untrained, so much more to learn, and he hadn't even truly become well acquainted with Shii Cho. But he had quickly come to learn how to control the force however. It was hard to concentrate. Hard to levitate a chair like the ones in the council room. It was hard too let his emotions flow without constraint. Too let the force guide his hands and not his mind. But Ken had done better than his students. When he had finally entered the room the padawans met their masters some knew their new masters others didn't. He thought Nim would take him but he was wrong. He had gone up to Nim asked him and wondered why. A Weequay had approached him asked him his name. Confusion met with an uneasy pit in his belly Ken told the master his name. Org Gle was his. Gle told him he'd be the boss of him from now on and if he wanted to be a real jedi he'd need to train a lot harder. Excitement but sadness mixed he asked Nim Zhos why he'd not be training him. Nim told him Ken would do better under Org not him. Nim was not the right man for the job and besides Nim's personal feelings would get in the way. Ken was wary but curious he looked at the rough looking creature called Org. Org told him the days would be rough and hard and full of pain. But if Ken got through it he'd be a guy worth remembering. Ken was unsure. The duros grabbed him by the shoulder told him it would be for the best. Ken looked him in the eyes for a moment and the nodded. Then he bowed to his master and the man told him not to bow it was demeaning. Then he took him too a room for dueling and fought with Org for the better part of the day so the man could get a lock on how to start training. He earned many burns, bruises, and hurt that day. But he was better for it.
