Alex decended the stairs, slowly and cautiously. She wasn't exactly expecting trouble but no one could be certain in a place like this, especially with the possibility of Clay showing up. It wasn't just her that had unresolved conflict, Clay was the Tavern's instigator. If there was a fight to be had, usually Clay was there. If there was a yelling match, chances are that Clay had a hand in starting the whole ordeal. He was not a bad person, not at all, but he lives for trouble. And with Zyrid appearing and trying his had at taking the so-called "alpha" position, Clay was bound to stir things up. She reached the bottom of the stairs and made her way to the bar. Spotting Zyrid, the cowboy that helped her earlier, the barmaid and a few other people that she was unacquainted with, she decided to just grab a bottle and find a table somewhere secluded. She came behind the bar, gave a slight nod to Ayeka and grabbed herself a bottle of Jack and a glass. As she was leaving she caught Zyrids eye and gave him the same sly smile he'd seen before. It was partly a regretful smile, leaving traced of doubt about him and his place here. Alex knew he would not be leaving soon, and that was no trouble to her, but she did not want to watch Clay misjudge the situation or drive him out before she had the chance to get to know him. She continued and found a small table in the back corner that overlooked most of the open tavern floor. Sitting down in the chair, she swung her legs up onto the table and pulled out a cigarette. Pouring a glass and lighting her cigarette, Alex finally felt a sense of calm after the events of the day. She tuned out the voices and thoughts of the people around her.Leaning back in her chair she was lost in thought. [@Continuum][@Dark Light][@Mimic][@Alisdragon911]
