Because their mom worked long shifts at the diner to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, Ashanti practically raised her little brother by herself. When Ashanti was 11, though, her mother was robbed and murdered on her way home from work. Ashanti was forced to move away and live with her father, whom she'd never met before. She never saw or heard from her little brother again. Ashanti's father lived in Malibu with his new wife. Their house was larger than most on the block, and even had a pool in the backyard. Despite her father's efforts to make her feel comfortable there, Ashanti never felt like she really belonged. She'd lock herself in her room for hours, whenever she wasn't at school. Ashanti first discovered her power at the age of 15 while she was arguing with her father at the dinner table. She got so angry that she threw a fit, picking up the dinner table and flinging it across the room. She'd even gone as far as to pick up one of her older step-brothers by his neck, but stopped before she could cause any real damage. As a result, she was kicked out of the house and left to fend for herself. She lived in the streets for about a year before she decided that enough was enough. Personality: Ashanti leans much more toward introversion than extroversion. She cherishes her "me-time," prefers to observe before she acts, and contributes to conversation only when she thinks she has something relevant to say. Although having many friends, she isn't the "nicest" person you'll ever meet. She's blunt and straightforward, and doesn't really care whether or not she hurts your feelings. Ashanti is also brutally honest. She loves watching sports, but hates participating in any strenuous physical activity.
