That's [i]mostly[/i] in the more drastic cases where universes are vastly different from other ones. Say a universe that's set in a videogame/etc, the characters appearance will change to something digital (like graphics) and their abilities will have cooldowns or whatever. It probably won't come into play that much, because, otherwise, everyone's abilities and appearances will be normal until we run into a special case.
