He takes great pride in both his leadership skills and his abilities as a chef. It is for this reason that he rules his kitchen with an iron fist. Nothing gives him greater pride and joy than to see his kitchen do well. Liam has the unfortunate inability to express his approval and appreciation as much as he should. Luckily, those that know him well enough understand that aspect of him and respect him for his brilliance. He has been known to be just as fierce outside the kitchen as he is within it. Don't let that fool you though, for he is a softy at heart. His gruff and intense demeanor hides a kind hearted romantic. He's the kinda guy that girls love and guys love to hate. He has no friends yet he has a long string of ex girlfriends. This doesn't bother him in the least. In fact he prefers it this way. Like all romantics he's on the look out for that special someone. Backstory: Liam was a martial artist as a youth. After graduating high school he decided to use his martial arts skills in the real world as a career, for he was way too hot headed and impatient for college. He decided to work in security. He passed all his tests with flying colours and became fully licensed security guard with relative ease. His first job was at the local mall. That only lasted a month. He despised it, the boredom was killing him. Also, being disrespected by teenagers was really starting to get on his nerves. He switched security jobs many times but he found he still had similar if not the same problems. He was eventually hired as a bouncer at some local nightclub. One night, he was stationed at the entrance with the doorman. That was the night that changed his life. It was the night he had his grand epiphany. As he stood there, keeping an eye out for trouble makers in the line, he looked out across the street. He saw people in nice clothes, laughing and being civil, generally having a lovely time at the restaurant across the road. This always brought a smile to his face. It wasn't the first time either. He recalled all the disrespectful yahoos he always had to deal with in his security guard career. Sure it was fun showing them who's boss but the satisfaction of that didn't last long. It certainly didn't make him a happier person in general. He realised two things about himself that night. One was that he hated his career. The other was that all he ever wanted to do was make people happy. People were always happy and civil at that restaurant. That wasn't the case at the night club at all. That thought circled around his head for the rest of his shift. When he got home he decided that his life needed to change. After hours of soul searching he decided that he wanted to become a chef. He would have to study for four years under many different masters but he didn't mind. He was taught that greatness demanded great sacrifice after all. He was always thankful to his father for teaching him that lesson and instilling the virtues of courage and sacrifice into him from a young age. Being allowed the freedom to choose what he wanted to be and do as a child also helped greatly in instilling in him those noble virtues. With all the courage in the world and a willingness to sacrifice everything he embarked on his four year journey towards becoming a fully qualified chef. At the age of twenty one he was a few years late to the game but he proved himself to be a quick and brilliant study. His hard work ethic and his attention to detail awarded him approval from all those who taught him. After he earned his professional certification at the age of twenty five he opened a burger joint with a fellow colleague Pierce. Little did Liam know that his colleague will betray him. His original blend of spices made his burgers the talk of the town. Business started pouring in after two years of struggling in obscurity. After a year of successful business the betrayal happened. Through some legal loophole Pierce, his colleague, took full ownership of the burger joint and fired Liam out of greed and jealousy. It was after that incident that Liam vowed to get his revenge on Pierce by beating him at his own game, by becoming more successful than he in the world of hospitality. He contemplated breaking his legs but he didn't need any more ire from the cops. He roughed some douchebags up a little too much back in his security guard days. Liam was reported many times though he was never deemed guilty of misconduct. Despite this the cops were weary of him. It was best he kept his distance from them. Liam needed to start from step one, again. He needed a job. Luckily there was an opening at the Dream Cafe for a chef. It wasn't the most prestigious of positions but it had to do. This was merely a stepping stone to greatness after all. Job: Chef Played by: TwelveOf8
