[b]Bio:[/b] Dawn was born in the prison to an 18-year-old inmate named Amber Cohen. Amber was arrested for murdering the man who raped her; at least, she convinced herself that he was the one, but nobody knew for sure. As one of the few children in the prison, Dawn had a relatively isolated upbringing, not having many chances to develop social and emotional skills. Amber provided little more than basic needs. From what Dawn remembers, Amber spent a lot of time lying on a couch with various bottles and containers in front of her. Since she had the freedom to go wherever and do whatever she wanted (or at least her mom didn't do anything about it), young Dawn wandered around the city and saw things she should not have seen. When Dawn was 8, Amber left home and never came back. Left without knowing how to get food or money, Dawn had to steal food to survive. She eventually found out where and when the food crates came into the city, and moved her few belongings over to an isolated shack nearby, where she has been living since. She initially tried to look for her mom, but gave up searching after a couple months when she realized they had no emotional connection and she was just fine without her. This introduced her to lurking. She learned that eavesdropping and sneaking into restricted places could uncover interesting or useful information. She is well-practiced at using knives for everything from cutting food to pick-pocketing to attacking people who caught her picking pockets. She has also experimented with using guns, but her aim is terrible and she doesn't like the loud noise.
