Roxian leapt out of the way quickly. She remained unimpressed. "Dirt? Pathetic. I am so scared of it." She snarled sharply, her eyes still glared red. Roxian was a good runner, and she was agile. That was her strategy. She was gonna tire him, dodging his attacks.

Roxian stayed there with her arms at her sides.

Nendo crosses his arms, as the tower he stands in begins to shake, as the Golems that the Shikigami knights trampled begin to repair themselves, while other Golems lay dead. "Golem pact: Rook." The tower morphs, into a large clay beast, made out of clay bricks, it towered at twelve feet, with gorilla-like attributes. "And here's a Nendo special offer! Clay make: Hammer!" a large hammer of clay appears in the Rook's hand, as It swings it at the oncoming Shikigami knights.

Since they wasn't really that far away to begin with they would put their shields up towards the hammer while diving their blades into the bottom of the Rook, basically saying if their getting smacked their doing to do damage at the same time, which will only get worse thanks to the rook's attack. Charles would chuckle shaking his head as he the rook would be able to take out the knights easy. "If your going to get serious guess I have to as well aye?" he says as he reaches into his bag and pulls out what looks to be a diamond "This is expensive for me to get... it's the highest quality material I have on me.. so I am not holding any stops you should feel lucky, this will probably drain most if not all of my magical energy.. granted I'm doing the physical fight next so it doesn't matter to much" he says as he starts to chant a fairly long chant, while his Griffon keeps them out of reach of the rook.

Barely before he had thrown his dirt the girl had leap clear, easily avoiding his strike and leaving Stepney to stumble forward briefly. Under normal circumstances he'd be the one to be dodging and weaving, however he didn't have his magic to rely on this time and had to close the distance himself.

Stepney did not like how she looked at him, he felt small and insignificant under her glare, that went double for here attitude. He charged again, this time not even bothering with dirt or any cheap tactic. Giving it a final burst of speed just before he was in striking range Stepney dove forward planting his metal arm firmly on the ground and spun from the wrist slinging his body feet first towards his target.

Roxian watched a minute, aiming to study his attack firmly. She planted her feet firmly on the ground and scoffed. "Thank you for showing me a move. I will know how to avoid it next time." She smirked, before stepping back and grabbing the kid. With a strict glare, she mouthed a goodbye to the kid, before pushing him away.

When she pushed him away, she also pushed herself back. She meant to do this. Roxian gave a glance and smirk at the kid, one hand at her hip and the other at her side. "You got me. By a few small hits." Roxian told her, her voice cold with harsh tone.

Her harsh tone stung a bit, she was right though if he didn't make any progress with her soon she'd just be able to avoid his attack more easily. It was obvious she was toying with him and there wasn't much he could do about it, he had to switch it up soon she was only going to get harder to hit.

"Is dodging your only trick" Stepney snarled bouncing from foot to foot "or can ya actually throw a punch" sure it was a long shot but if he could stand to get hit once he might have a shot of striking back.

Once more he crouched down and hurled himself towards his opponent, this time his struck out with his right zeroing on on her gut.

Roxian scoffed. "I'm not wasting time during myself out." Roxian stated, letting him charge at her. But when he was half a foot away, she grabbed him and leapt over him, before kicking him in the shoulder. "I'm saving up my energy. So that when you lose it, I can fight better."

Her kick and sent the off balance Stepny into a bit of a stumble, she wanted to tier him out? Not a bad strategy, his heavy arm made working running for long periods of time a drag and without his magic to compensate he could have been toast.

"Not a bad strategy you've cooked up there" Stepney chuckled a smirk slowly forming on his face "There's just one problem with it" Digging in his feet Stepney took a defensive stance "It only works if I keep chasing ya" she had played him for long enough and now it was his turn "Come on then! Ya not scared of little old me are ya?"

Air rushed out of Stepney's lungs and his torso folded over Roxian's leg, choking back the desire to throw up he acted fast, that hurt a lot more that the last kick and he probably wouldn't be able to take to many more of them before going down.

Grabbing on to her leg he look up revealing a his ever spiteful grin, "Hey" He coughed out, with no more time to waist he heaved with everything he had pulling the girl off her feet and into over his head and into the ground. The stone shattered with the force of the impact and both combination were covered in a thick cloud of smoke. Stepney was the first revealed panting heavily he didn't look like he had much left in him the tremendous force of Roxian's kick starting to take its toll. It was still very unclear if she was going to be getting back up.

"You got me. By a few small hits." he chuckled between his heavy breathing.

Man, I don't wanna waste a lot of magic, this fight is dragging out, time for my secret technique. Nendo began to form a multi layered magic circle, as the Rook destroyed the Shikigami Knights. "CLAY MAKE: Bouncy ball!" Nendo through a chunk of wet clay at his opponent, grinning, as if he just used a trump card.

The griffon would simply evade out of the way as Charles finishes his incantation and on the ground a magic circle would form, before a Chimera would emerge from the circle, the classic chimera, head of a lion, extra head of a goat, tail that's a snake. Completely lean and dangerous as it prepares to strike at the Rook.

Nendo muttered, as he leaped off the rook, commanding the large golem to football tackle the Chimera. meanwhile, the ball of clay Nendo launched landed with a splat, harmlessly onto the ground..before sinking into the ground. and intense tremor shook the arena briefly, before a large clay monster, comprised of clay from in the earth, triggered by the clay ball, erupts from the ground, several stones being stuck inside it, this was a good way to save magic, as Nendo only had to use a small catalyst, and let nature do the rest of the work.

Nendo stretches, and exhales, in both relief, and weariness from the grueling challenges. "Giant monster, huh? count me in on that one. My clay make and golem pact, should do pretty well in that type of scenario." Nendo states, before looking around. He was confident in his magic, but he really didn't want to tackle a mission like that alone.

With labored breaths Stepney fell back onto his ass at the announcement of the end tournament, all that girl had to do was get up and he'd have crumpled like paper under her might. The announcement intrigued him, a job that was important enough for Gramps to announce it himself. This job was gonna be probably gonna be super popular for either cash or putting someone in the running for the S-rank mage exam, the clay guy had already put his hand up for it. Scrambling back to his feet Stepney called out to Gramps.

"Put me down for that job too, rents due soon so I kinda need the jewels" Stepney rubbed the back of his head a little embarrassed about his reasoning. "If you don't have any complaints that it" he looked over to the clay guy and offering a friendly smile.

Charles still sitting on his griffon, his chimera would be gone by now since it was to dangerious to keep around. "What about the island itself? any information there gramps?" Charles would ask. the beast intrigued him slightly but needed more than that to decide if he wished to go.

"graveyard sea hu.." Charles would say rubbing his chin "...I'll go ahead and join this job" he states. He had research on his mind more than anything else of course. If there is a beast he is unaware of he'll make it his duty to learn everything about it.
