It might me a berry producing bush simply out of season. Upon further inspection though, it was still a plain, old, useless bush. She sighed, running the leaf over in her hands. There was still a chance, but without proper tools she would never be able to tell. So, for now, she left the plant, and turned to find something else. Only to find a hand full of nuts shoved in her face. Well, a few nuts. "Here have these. An apology for the silence, not entirely used to much company is all." "Uh, uh...Thanks?" She hesitantly said. She hadn't even heard the ogre approach. How the hell did something so big move so silently? Or well, she was probably zoned out as usual. She took the nuts with hesitation, not trusting of the unknown item to start with. There was no telling what it actually was, and it might be something detrimental to their overall health. She ran her hands over the nut, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. Well, without proper equipment there was only one way to determine what something was capable of. She bit the nut, and found it as Ugroth, bland but tolerable. She'd have to see if it had any alchemical properties later, but at the moment it didn't seem to be a danger to their health. Only time would tell, however. Poisonous or Venomous things could very well not have any immediate symptoms. "My name is Ugroth if you wanted to know. Don't think I got yours during the trip between the discomfort and busyness." "Uh, Charlotte." She replied, swallowing. "Charlotte LaChance. Alchemist from Astril. You know, cold country with a giant tower full of pompous scholars and shady mages." She chuckled lightly. Really, as much as she didn't like her current situation and despite wanting to not even be here it was a close tie with how much she disliked that place. "And it's fine. I'm not really one much for people either. I'd prefer if I could get back to my work, but...well, all of its gone now." The young woman sighed, shoulders slumping. She wasn't only talking about her research into that plant growth fertilizer either. All of her work, research, and everything else was on that ship. Recipes, formulas for brewing potions...research into what was one day going to culminate in her life work. "A-anyways." She continued, "I'd be careful about touching some of these plants. We have no idea what they can do. They look harmless enough, but it'd be bad to touch something poisonous, since we don't have anything to make antidotes or other anti-venom from. Well...we could if my equipment miraculously survived, but glass tends to be rather fragile." She was rambling now, wasn't she? Uncool, man.
~Sevita Lanka~
"This is mine, It's not as if any of you would have any use for it, anyway." Sevita turned her head towards the voice. The elf. She had seen her a few times on the ship, but had as of yet to speak to her. Mostly because she was busy doing other things, and didn't allow herself any leisurely time to be spent making friends with everyone just yet. However, despite how cute she thought the elf was, she was sounding incredibly arrogant from that statement. The Garuda simply frowned slightly. "Arrogance is not something desirable at the moment, Elf." So far, two of her comrades seemed rather bad at this teamwork thing, though the Kitsune was likely merely from inexperience. That could be solved easily. Arrogance, though? Well, the Garuda Soldiers had a very specific way to deal with recruits who thought they had the best wings in the forest. For now though, she would let it go. It was not her place at the moment to...discipline someone in such a manner. So, she busied herself with finding some more items that they could possibly use. Sifting through a few more of the boxes, she found a barrel labeled 'Wheat'. She may not be a farmer or skilled with agriculture, but she knew what wheat was. With a grunt, she hefted the barrel with little difficulty and followed the Oni's example of placing it outside the wreckage, just about the same time as Turk emerged from the sea with its bounty. She placed the barrel next to the box of Rice. Hopefully there was someone here who had some skill in farming, or this was going to go to waste. "I need to make a spear or somefin' if I really wanna catch fish, I can prolly check to see if their poisonous. Gut 'em, check for glands. I doubt it, though. Looks good to eat, if ya ask me." "Fish will be helpful." Sevita replied to him. "If it is a spear you need, you may borrow mine." Normally, she would never let such a thing occur...but these weren't normal circumstances. Fish to feed everyone tonight would benefit everyone, and if her spear could help in that endeavor, she cared not.
