After getting a series of stern looks and reprimands from the salvage crew, Yukine folded her ears back and tried to be as quiet as possible while she continued looking for supplies. The last thing she wanted to do was get on everyone's bad side on their first day here, but at least Masaru seemed to be forgiving. It seemed that the scythe was a good omen, though, as one by one, people began finding boxes of seeds that had survived the crash. "Foxy, I think I've discova'd what yer lookin' for." Yukine hopped over to Gamie and took a look at what he found. "Alright! Soybeans! Just be careful, the bag is broken. We have to make sure that none of these get wet. The salt water will dry out the seeds, or even worse, if they're too damp mold could set in and ruin the whole batch." She stuck the handle of the scythe into her kimono sash, and then took the bag of beans with both hands, carrying it carefully outside and set it down next to the other salvaged food. Wheat, rice, soy... she looked at the three crops and was already thinking about how she would set up her farm. They'd certainly have to go inland, as none of these things would grow in sand, and especially not this close to the ocean. Then her eyes fell on the fish that Turk had caught. Her mouth was already beginning to water as she thought of the delicious meal that was in store for them if he could catch a few more. "Thanks lizard man! You're really good at fishing. It's good that we have something eat. It'll be a long time before these crops are ready, especially since there's not much of a farming crew right now..." She looked down, the first pang of sadness sinking in. All those poor people she was looking forward to building an amazing farm with were now lost to the ocean. She shook her head and pushed those feelings away; now wasn't the time for mourning. "Anyway, there might be some more seeds inside. I'm gonna give one more check." She looked at Sevita, speaking in a soft voice. "And I promise I'll be quiet this time." She walked back inside and checked another corner of the wreck. Her movement wasn't stifled at all by the farm tool sticking up out of her sash; while many people would have clumsily bumped into things with a stick on their back, Yukine was in her domain. She naturally moved about as if it were just another part of her body. She swiped away some debris, and her eyes went wide. She stifled a squeal of delight, then spoke in a strained whisper. "Guys, I found some barley. Somebody help me move this beam." The crate was pinned down by what was probably part of the ship's mast. Yukine might have been able to move it herself if she was in peak condition, but she didn't want to risk hurting herself, especially when she felt as fatigued as she did.
