Sitting on the roof of some office building, Rachel weighed in her options. That damn bag was still laying on the sidewalk. Without it, she would literally be left nothing except for the clothes on her back and her Stand. Oh, it'd be great to just go down and get it without any complications, but the police were drawing close. The girl was sure the authorities knew her face as the interloper that ran away from a foster home and stole a lot of shit from various counties. She couldn't risk getting caught, so she needed to be fast.

Thankfully, her Stand is all about fast.

Rachel willed Shinee to appear with a whisper of its name. The sleek, humanoid stand materialized crouching in front of her, ready to heed her every command. In this form, it emitted this faint white glow, almost like a dying LED light. "Hey, Shinee. Wanna go fast?" It replied with several intense glows, an inanimate sound of approval. Shinee was those kind of Stands that really do care for their users' wellbeing, but also on the flipside wouldn't hesitate to pull off an insane stunt only Stands could pull off. With its approval in mind, Rachel got up and took a few steps back to get a running start. Then, with the sort of guts stuntmen would be proud of, she ran for the edge...

And jumped off the building.

She felt the air rushing through her as she let gravity take her to the ground, not quite high enough for her to reach terminal velocity. But she didn't need to be. She'd go faster than that with Shinee anyway. Again making her Stand appear, it materialized around her and shined an intense light, making her appear like a mini-sun or ball lightning. Then, with its super speed, it ran along the windows of the building, taking its user with it. It was nothing but pure adrenaline for Rachel and she loved it. As they approached the ground, Shinee made a sharp, nigh-impossible 90-degree change in direction and soon they were rushing on the roadways of Angel Springs at the speed of sound. But at these speeds, Rachel could not see or sense anything and so left directional controls solely to Shinee. It was a smart Stand, it knew where her bag was. Hopefully.

But Rachel had nothing to worry about. As she and Shinee slowed to a stop, the state of the world returning to her wide brown eyes, she found herself sitting on the floor of a restaurant interior, her Stand bared full, standing above her...but not a bag in sight. FUCK. That man and his crew must have taken it. The clientele, though few and far between (almost empty, it seemed), looked at her with obvious shock mixed with confusion. How could they not, when to them, it was as if a ball of light sped into the restaurant and brought with it a girl out of nowhere, protected by a strange spirit? Trying to ignore the glares she was surely receiving, she awkwardly edged for the closest escape route which was...a broken window?

(Here is an entertaining video of the Ukrainian Army Band as compensation for this probably horrible post)

It seems, after all, that nobody wants to intercept the four men as they escape the scene. They certainly don't encounter any resistance as they make their way out of the area, and they are soon well away from the scene of the deaths. Nick himself does not enjoy killing people for the sake of it... but, when a man with a gun shows he's willing to use it for its intended purpose, what can you do but ensure he never does so again? His past experience shows that giving certain types of people an inch will let them take a mile - that is to say, if they were keen to kill before a jail sentence, they certainly won't be averse to it afterward and especially during, given how many jails are set up. A shame that rehabilitation of criminals is so low on the priority list of such institutions, but dealing with the problem on that scale is presently beyond Nick's purview. Maybe later on, he figures, he can finagle his way into the political system, get himself in a position of power... unlikely, given his current "occupation", but not strictly impossible.

Regardless, they're back in the downtown area of Angel Springs within the half-hour, though Nick is in a far more energised state than the others by this time. At this time of day, most members of the Kaisers are out and about the town, and the Kaiser Chief's cohort passes a fair few of them on the way back to the gang's main holdings; to each of them, he mentions the girl he briefly talked to, that she left her duffel bag in the middle of the street (showing the bag itself as evidence), and tells them to bring her straight to the warehouse if she asks about him or her bag.

The warehouse: a pretty old structure just on the border of the industrial part of town and the downtown area, previously taken over by the Kaisers when Baines was still in charge. In his time, it had been allowed to become semi-dilapidated; under Nick's orders, however, it had been refurbished to actually look reasonably decent for what basically amounted to a communal homeless shelter. There weren't holes in the walls and roof now, at least, and some repainting had been done since Baines' attack on the gang he once led.

A few gang members remain in the building even at this time of day - there are only so many tasks to assist with even in a city like this, after all. Then again, a major job has just presented itself...

'Right, you lot,' Nick calls out, drawing the attention of everyone else in the building, 'there's a job I need you to handle. This duffel bag belongs to a girl in a navy blue jacket, and she left it on the street. She'll probably want it back, and I want you guys to go out and tell the other Kaisers about her. If she comes up to you or them asking about me or her bag, bring her straight here, alright? That goes for you three too,' he states to the three gangers by his side, prompting an unnecessary groan from Jim.

'Do you mind if we take a short break before heading out?' the man asks, still huffing and puffing. 'We don't all have the Ripple to power us through lunch, or lack of... and I did just get shot.'

'Well gee, Jim, way to be ungrateful for a continued lease on life,' Nick deadpans. 'But yes, you three take ten, fifteen minutes downtime, and then I want you back out there, ASAP. Let's get moving, folks!' he cries, and with a rallying yell, the few people still in the building head out once again- save Nick's three companions, who head to the back of the warehouse to grab some bottles of water for themselves, and Nick himself, who heads up to the second floor and takes a seat, beginning one of the basic Ripple exercises his parents taught him - namely, breathing in continuously for several minutes at a time before exhaling, in Nick's case just over fifteen before reaching capacity.

The restaurant was slowly emptying, but not fast enough for Sabrina. She wanted to help outside. Make sure the perpetrators would receive their proper punishment. Hell, if she would have her Steel Balls with me, she could easily fight them off. Make them punch themselves and knock them out, or simply convulse in cramps and pain. The Spin was truly a magnificent power, she learned. It kept quite a lot of one-sided thinkers away from her when she had a night out with her friends.

She barely noticed that one of the patrons seemed to have "fixed" the window. The thin green plant matter that replaced the window was barely visible, apart from the green tint it left the light coming through with. However, this membrane was soon disturbed by a flashing movement. The newcomer into the restaurant was sure a sight that made Sabrina lose it. She growled and stomped on the ground, throwing her fists above her head and back down.

"Hey! Can't you see people try to live peaceful here?", she barked in the general direction of Rachel and the people outside. "And here you are, waltzing around with your big smudgy faces, thinking you owe this place." She walks closer to the broken window. Her eyes are filled with maniacal anger (in anime terms: the shine in her eyes vanished etc). "We don't need any of your hillbilly game playing around here!"

With that, she slammed a fist on a nearby table, making the contents leap for a tiny bit. She quickly grabbed a glass from said table and pulled the ice cubes from it. In her tantrum, she did not care who was right or wrong in this. She rolled the cubes in her hand for a moment before launching them at Rachel with a loud "Uukhai!" erupting from her lungs. The cubes drifted in the air, curving and spinning like baseballs towards Rachel, but before even getting close enough to her, they simply melted and tiny droplets of water sprayed over.

"Huh?" was the answer from Sabrina, before she looked at her wet hand and then over at the table. Of course throwing ice cubes in the middle of summer and with a technique such as the Spin would melt them almost instantly. Even the air conditioning from the restaurant could not help her out. She quickly scanned the table for other (almost) spherical objects and could not find any. "Aw man... And here I thought I could be like my teacher", she muttered and kicked a chair against the table so it would not sit on her way to the back of the restaurant.

Kijo Kokorensin

Kijo would move slowly too grab at the gun, only for a vine too reach out of apparently no where grabbing it and quickly retreating back too where it belonged. Staring too the tiki-esque creature, who lay decorated across the man’s shoulders, Kijo’s emerald eyes would glance too The Outsider. This man knew far more than she did, and Kijo greatly disliked not knowing...well anything. The Stand? Her eyes would go over the seraphim-like form of The Outsider. “Too be honest, I always thought it was an angel, i mean.. it does fit the appearance.” She would continue too grip at her bleeding shoulder as she would stare too the fully formed creature.

So, you were a Stand.... her eyes would stare too the creature. The ivory feathers always confused her, she could never decide if The Outsider had been a harpy, an angel, but now, it was nothing she could imagine. Well, it wasn’t the craziest theory she heard, but it was still something.. and something was alot more than the whole lot of nothing she knew about it. Glancing too the gun, as she would hear it slowly shatter, she would raise an eyebrow. She didn’t care much for those weapons really, not as personal as she liked battles too be.

Kijo actually, didn’t really like battles- which was why she always opted too run, but a cornered animal is an animal at it’s fiercest, and the thug had learned that the hard way. The thought would cause her too pause, as she would hold out her hand. The Outsider would be quick, those with a skilled eye would easily see that creature’s movements, but within a blink of an eye the seed and the gun had been in the palm of her hands. The Outsider wouldn’t have done it if it didn’t think it was a good idea, and too be honest- this creature’s intuition was probably why she was still around.

Giving a soft sigh, she would look too the seed before resting The Outsider however, she knew would be prepared too strike if she needed it. Glancing between the two, she’d give a soft sigh. “I am Kijo, and my fine winged friend over there, is The Outsider. If I may ask, what do i do with the seed now, eat it? Plant it in the ground-grow a tree with it?” she would raise an eyebrow as a smirk would grow on her face.

"You can keep thinking of it as a angel, if you like. The guy that explained this all to me didn't know where the name came from or who first came up with it." Rodger said as The Outsider shot forward, snatching the gun from the air and the seed from his hand. So she was testy. That was understood. "I'm afraid that's not going to do you much good on its own. Vitalogy has to plant it in you." He says, walking forward slowly, arms raised. "It'll patch that wound just like it patched that gun. Your shoulder will be good as new, provided you give the patch sunlight and water, and your body will push it out as it heals naturally. My name's Rodger, and there's more things I'd like to explain about Stands if you're willing to listen and pass it on."

Reinhardt could not content himself walking over to the woman trying to clam her down,"Hi im sure it was not her fault..umm just please clam down..." Business man said walking behind her seeing the ice flying at the other girl. This caught his interest wondering what kind of stand she is using with these balls.

Once she had somewhat stopped her attack watching her sit down putting his hands to his side,Sighing softly apologizing to the woman bowing his head for being a nuisance.

Rachel observed the hot waitress' aggression, still half-stunned by the daring trip she had been in, but did not think that she'd actually attack her. With ice cubes, no less. Who does that? It was Shinee that saw those projectiles coming and moved to intercept them, but they curiously melted within seconds. That was odd, considering the restaurant was very well-cooled for the summer. She must've been quite the pitcher to be able to throw things so fast, they melt. And fortunately, as the ice cubes melted, the waitress became chill once more. That was precisely the opportunity Rachel needed to find a seat and cool off, close to a man in a tacky pink jacket.

Strenuous usage of Shinee's super speed proved hazardous for her frail form. Already, one could see that there was steam coming from her body, accompanied by excessive amounts of sweat. Further insulation from her jacket wasn't helping at all, but she was way too tired to move, let alone take it off. Had she remained outside and her Stand unable to get her to a secure and cold place, she could very well die from overheating. Was there really a term for the opposite of hypothermia?, Rachel idly wondered. Hyperthermia? Either way, a few minutes of cooling down should get her back to fit form.

And then she could go look for her damned bag proper.

For a person such as Sabrina, the ordeal became ridiculous. Not only did she have to deal with a quick intruder, she could hardly work around her technique without her precious tools. She damned herself for not keeping them around during work time, knowing all too well that they were sitting neatly aligned in her bedroom at home. That there were still these two in the restaurant did not change anything about the situation.

"Will you just get out for Pete's sake? There has been a murder right in front of our restaurant!" She was still steaming in anger, but nothing so overly over the top than her fit mere moments ago. She looked over to the girl that literally steamed in the seat she took. "Woah. You okay?"

She walked over to her and looked around. In the moment of confusion, Sabrina picked up a pitcher of water from a table and poured it on the girl's head. "There, there. No need to boil up."

A tiny glance went to the man next to her. He must be one of those smudgy pricks that think anything goes with enough money. She did not pay too much attention to him.

From a distance, Vinnie watched the entire scene cool down. Those responsible for the murders fled before the police could arrive, making the observer wonder sadly if the stone-cold killers would ever be caught and brought to justice. The last of the civilians left the Golden Peking, and that familiar Angel Springs lethargy began to settle over this area of the town once more. Harangued by stress despite not being remotely involved in the course of events, Vinnie picked himself up and continued on his way. Coincidentally, the route back to work from his lunch break took him closer to the ill-fated restaurant, and he could not resist glancing in when passing by. When he did so, he spotted a few people -three, from the looks- still inside. Why haven't they gone? The besuited man wondered. Perhaps one or more of them had sustained a grave injury in the proceedings and needed help. As much as Vinnie's intuition told him he would regret getting any closer to the scene of a crime and potentially complicating matters with victims or police, he felt obliged to offer his aid to anyone in need. In a way, he could use this opportunity to look like a hero—or at least a concerned citizen doing his part. Besides, he had a little time.

Vinnie's eyes wandered to the dead bodies out on the road, but only for a moment. The grisly sight did not bear anything more than the most cursory examination. Instead, he sidled up to the door and gingerly opened it, peering in. Inside he spotted a man who could have been mistaken for a woman at a longer distance, dolled up in a flamboyant pink suit decidedly less classy than Vinnie's own blue one. An extremely ordinary, rather forgettable brown-haired woman stood nearby, and opposite her a more eye-catching lady who he guessed worked at the restaurant. A peaked cap, a tube top, cropped camo shorts, and what looked like argyle-patterned stockings made for an intriguing hodgepodge of an appearance. None of them seemed particularly hurt, but all the same, he thought about his words for a moment before speaking out.

“Hello? Pardon me. I saw the whole thing from a little ways off, and I was worried that someone in here might need some assistance. Is there anything I can do to help?”

A long sigh of relief came from Rachel as cold water bathed her overheated form, some of it instantly turning into more steam upon contact with her skin. Though her clothes hadn't fared well as a result, she could barely think about that. Some few minutes later, the girl woke with a shake of her head and had a look around. No one had abducted her, unlike the last time. And her organs were intact, unlike the last time. Rachel could tell it was the waitress that had graciously poured the water over her and gave her a grateful smile.

"Thank you...for the water. I-It was a huge help," she thanked her. "If you'll excuse me, I need to be going now." Putting on her jacket, Rachel Lineman rose and walked out of the Golden Peking without any further words. Her eyes narrowed as summer sunrays struck with a vengeance, but they managed to scan the area. Wherever could those thugs have gone? She still needed her bag. Picking out a decidedly random direction, she trailed off and waited for the golden opportunity.

A girl barely in her 20's with soggy clothes and looking like the rear end of an ass, bystanders' eyes were drawn to her as she walked on by. Rachel tried her best to just...ignore them.

The Greenman's Smooth Tunes

Kijo Kokorensin

Kijo would stay quiet as he explained too her about her stand, well, not much rather then letting her know that The Outsider hadn’t been an angel, which a part of her knew that. The Outsider had been too detached about that world too be an angel, even a guardian angel she figured would give at least give two shits about care the world. The Outsider seemed more intrigued with herself, preaching too her about it’s logic when it can, trying it’s best too guide her from her current situation. After all, though.. she doubted there was anything past this life, she heard no voice when she use too pray at night, she had religion.. of course most children do at a time, however, that time is long over. Sighing a bit impatiently, as she looked too the seed in her hand, and the Jacket that seemed too be long but tainted by her blood. Sighing softly, she’d pull the white jacket off, to show- well more ivory. The girl didn’t seem too have much of a color scheme besides black and white.

Well, it would beat the hospital visit, and any stitches she would need. Glancing towards the tiki- masked being, which just reminded her of some sort of voodoo doll, however instead of straw or wax, it was more of a jungle-inspired doll, vines and wood and what not. Tilting her head slightly she would look over the creature more, so.. there were other people like her, with stands like The Outsider, she wondered if they all looked differently.

“The man who seemed too easily take down those thugs who were after me, in the diner, was he a Stand user as well? Or.. should i consider myself ignorant in thinking that Stands are the only...other worldly creatures around.” she would chose her words carefully, as if walking on eggshells, she didn’t know if this stand had cared too be called a creature, or how she could speak of it. Honestly, she only knew that The Outsider cared for such things because once she called it a pixie, or the Cupid... it was not happy about it. In fact, it had given her a whole speech on how Cupid isn’t real, and it finds those as racist terms. She could actually sense The Outsider’s annoyance by the simple thought of it within the corridors of her mind.

“Alrighty, Vita.. i’ll take care of your plant, even plant it in the ground after my shoulder’s all healed up- just stop this bleeding, please .” she would smile too the Stand, before looking too Roger, oh.. was this a stereotypical 80‘s movie? Where the lost hoodlum finds a sensei? Kijo could hardly hold back a snicker at the thought, before looking too him with a serious gaze finally, “The Outsider, has been by my side for as long as I can remember, I guess it wouldn’t hurt figuring out what it is, figuring out what to do with myself. Is there like a grand tournament or something, where stand’s fight each other, or is it a gotta catch em all type thing? Not that i’d go after Vita, honestly you are more like a third or fourth gym leader, and I haven’t even gotten one badge.” she spoke, referencing a child’s show, however the seriousness seemed too dance in her eyes.

“Although, we might only have enough time for one lesson, i have a meeting too go to in an hour or so.” she’d glance up to the sky, man it was a particularly long day. Out stretching the hand with the see towards Vitalogy, so it would be able too plant the Seed-band aide looking too him. “I.. don’t know about passing it on, considering your stand is the only other stand i’ve seen in my lifetime- next too The Outsider of course, but i’ll give you my word on it. Which might not mean anything too you yet, but i’m not entirely trouble. That’s just The Outsider.” she would shrug and wince suddenly, fuck.. that was right, her shoulder was bleeding, if she would wait any longer no doubt she’d be endanger of passing out from blood lost.

“Words mean nothing, but you’ll see soon enough.”

She was of course, referring too the fact that she planned on dropping off the money too repair any damages those hooligans had done. Emerald eyes would narrow at the thought, thinking of.. she did have a few loose ends too cut. Those were of course the meetings she had mentioned earlier.

This girl was giving him ideas he'd never thought about before. Stand fights in a giant arena, surrounded by cheering fans. It was a shocking thought. "Maybe they have fights in Vegas." He said, Vitalogy unraveling its arm and plucking the seed from her hand. "Now this is gonna sting like a splinter." He warned, and then the stand reached forward and planted the seed directly into the meat of her wound.

The result was instant. Tiny roots wove themselves into the small cracks in her bones, filling in wholly what they could not pull back together. Segments of green spread from one side of the would to the other, connecting tendons to tendons, muscles to muscles, blood vessels to blood vessels. The bleeding ceased abruptly as the last of them was rendered whole again. In this flurry of furious activity the fragments of the bullet were unceremoniously tossed from the would like used tissue paper and clattered onto the street. In a moment the hole in her shoulder was filled, and from the patch sprouted a bundle of white flower in full bloom. Like a corsage. Her arm would move easily. Her blood would flow unimpeded. It would feel for all the world as though the patch was a part of her own body. The only way she'd know the patch was there was if she touched it and felt the plants.

"I don't know about that guy. I've never seen him with a stand, though. They way I figure, there more on this earth than I can imagine. I wouldn't be surprised if I ran into a ghost, or an alien, or the Mothman." Rodger said as he bent down to inspect the patch. Vitalogy bobbed its head once or twice as he spoke before disappearing into the ether. "But I do know The guy by reputation. Nick Rix is a good man. If you ever have a problem you can't bring to the cops, you should find him and his gang."

He straightened up and considered that she had a meeting to get to. "I'll give you the quick version of this then. I don't know any rules about why we have Stands or what we're supposed to use them for. That's all on you to decide. But there are rules. Only Stand users can see Stands. The only thing that can harm a Stand is another Stand. When something harms your Stand, you get hurt too. Every Stand has some power, and it could be anything. Lastly, and I'm not even sure this is true, Stand users are drawn to one another by coincidence. So like I said, if you happen to run into someone else like you pass it forward."

The Site of the Beat down

Kijo Kokorensin

Looking too the creature as it would uncurl...its arms. Raising an eyebrow, as she would look at the two in general. Well, she was either going too die, some how go on a hallucinogenic state and then probably die, or this man was actually going too help her, it was easy too see that Kijo hadn’t trusted much, or many.. it’s just that well, she didn’t want too explain what had happened too a hospital, or threaten a vet to sew her up- like hell she wasn’t doing it again, also fun fact, they wear gloves so the needle doesn’t slip out of their hands, blood did tend too make things slippery. So, well, Vita was her easy way out, and listening too Roger. It was nice actually, speaking too someone and having them speak too you in a non-threatening manner, she mainly got threats and cat calls with the sort of people she enjoyed prodding.

Nick...Rix? What kind of name was that? How hard was it for his opponents not rhyme is name together? Did.. Nick Rix ... fix up certain people. Oh gods, she was disgusting that wasn’t even a good rhyme. She could easily think of a better one, maybe, the thought would disappear as quick as it would come, her attention going too the slight irritation in her wound.

Staring slightly, she’d look too her shoulder as a white flower would bloom. Oh, she could hear the bad jokes The Outsider would try too form already. Amusement would dance across her eyes as she stared too him with a raised eyebrow. So, this was the power of another’s stand. Looking too the flower again, she’d begin too move her arm and stretch out slightly, trying too test the flower like bandage, sighing as she would cross her arms again. She’d stay like this in silent for a couple long, probably awkward minutes. “Well, seeing as i haven’t died, or gone into some drug induced state.. no offense, it seemed too work...” she would continue too test her arm, stretching it towards the sky and then moving it in a circular motion. Hmm, it was like it wasn’t even there, band aides were more annoying.

Her arm would drop too her side, and the finger too her other hand would delicately run along the flower petals. “So, do I just walk around with a flower sticking out of my shoulder? Or can I put a coat over this?” she asked with a raised eyebrow, well that might draw more attention to her than she liked, however, she did have a nice way too sticking too the shadows..

“Eh, who am I kidding, i’d feel too bad. I’ll just say it’s some weird fashion.”

The woman would shrug her shoulders carelessly, pausing as she’d look up. Oh her meeting, looking too him. “Hey, tonight i’ll drop off the money at the Peking, that way we can meet up tomorrow and i can try some of the tea there, I promise I won’t bring thugs along.” she spoke calmly, as she would look towards the alley way, walking towards the entrance of it. The police had been just arriving, and she’d smoothly turn around. Yeah, that was a whole lot of nope. She’d take the fence route.

“But, that’s my cue too leave friend. It was nice meeting someone like me, well, like The Outsider and I.” she would glance back behind herself, and The Outsider would appear, however it would move curiously towards her shoulder, looking curiously towards the flower and then looking too him. It’s wings seemed too pull back before it’d move to float over the fence, and in a blink of an eye she would be over the chain link fence, floating gently as she landed on the ground.

Moving too look towards her bloody shirt, great. Now she’d have too steal more clothes, and cut little holes into the shoulders of them for her new flowery friend. She’d sigh and glance too the Outsider. “I’ll say it’s a fashion statement.” “That’s an awful statement.” “I’m not flying, that’s an awful statement in itself.” The creature would disappear at Kijo’s words, clearly annoyed that she hadn’t been taking it’s advice. Shoving her hands into her pockets, she would begin too walk through the streets.

She’d get a few peculiar stares, but mostly it was people trying their hardest not too stare. After all, with rumors of another shooting happening in this normally peaceful town, had been spreading through the area like wild fire, sparking life too their dull lives momentarily. That was just how they lived, Kijo figured people without Stands, with normal lives and no abilities. Moving towards a bit more of a run down part of town, she would move towards the alley ways, moving about as if the entire place was a maze, and it was... her maze. She would walk into a new home, it hadn’t even had occupants in it yet, the new neighborhood it had been in had also been empty. Entering from a broken window; as if she had done a thousand times before. Walking towards the new chimney, she’d bend too her knees, carefully picking up the floor boards, before revealing two white duffel bags full of money and jewels mainly, a few watches had been in there as well. Sighing as she’d take only one bag, covering it back up with floor boards before leaving her hiding spot.

Kijo would move quicker now, after all she was running late for her meeting. The client was already going too be angry at her, she switched up their deal. She would move towards a construction site, it’s workers had long finished their day too go home, or the bar or where ever they desired. The men she stole it from, owned this site, it was their choice for a meet up spot. Walking with the duffle over her un-flowered shoulder, she’d walk briskly towards the area. The air seemed cooler than what she was use too, she’d need too get a new white jacket. Didn’t they know how hard it was too steal it and keep it white? Stepping in front of a group of men, she could see the tall bald one she fought earlier, quietly keeping his eyes from her.

Well, she did know how too instill fear.

“Okay, you proved a point princess, our group could use someone like you.”
“Nah.” she’d throw the duffle bag at the man’s feet, the one she knew was in charge, his dark eyes slowly looking too the bag and then too her. “No?” “I did that cause i was bored, I only asked too join you guys too see what you would say.” she would cross her arms. “Where are the other three duffel bags?” he would ask suddenly, oh jeez, so they did learn how too count. Oh well, “They are mine, and that one is yours, consider it your apology too me, after all your men did shoot at me.” she would state calmly, as she looked too group. "You...stole. From. Us." The man would begin clearly angry.

“That’s rude, y’know...” she would begin. “But, i mean, be grateful i let you have that much back.” she would turn her back too them and begin too walk off.

“Not this time! One more move and i will make sure they blow the brains out of that confusing little head of yours.” the man would growl and she’d glance too him with a bored gaze in her eyes. Please, i’ve met peaceful men more frightening then you and your group will ever be, you need guns and about ten men too try too threaten me, and it doesn’t work.” she would hiss suddenly, looking too him.

The man she had fought before would look up, before seeing the flower. No doubt the poor man would start laughing, oh jeez.. he snapped. Pointing too her flower, he’d continue too laugh. “I-I shot her!” he’d fall back now, laughing uncontrollably. “What is he even talking about...” one of the men would scratch the back of his head. Kijo wasn’t going too be around for this scene, nope, she avoided the police way too much today, to have too avoid them again. This screamed police all over it, why did she feel bad for stealing all of their money, it wasn't like she ruined their money source- which thinking on it, she probably should have.

Before Sabrina could react to Rachel and call after her, the girl was gone already. Sighing, she turned to Reinhardt and gave him an odd look. She shifted her stance towards her left and put a hand on her hip, as her eyes darted from top to bottom. "Well, would you be so kind as to leave the restaurant? I am afraid I have to close it and report to the upcoming police officers what happened here... At least what I saw about that..."

She sighed a little more and walked over to the counter and grabbed something from behind. She turned back to Reinhardt and handed him over a little card. "In case you need to talk about what happened here. I know people tend to open up more to those that were in the event rather than some stranger outside." She must have been out of her mind to do this, but she felt like she would regret it if she wouldn't have given this man her number. Not that he was charming or anything...

Sabrina's sanity must be tearing apart. In the middle of this ordeal, someone actually came in and politely asked her about the well being of those inside like he did not witness the murdering outside or like it was a regular Tuesday for him. She faced the new man with a groan and looked at him with a glare worthy of a killer. "Everything is FINE here! Gosh, gimme a break you all, will you? Just get out. This is a peaceful restaurant and we don't want any outsider trouble in here. It brings bad luck to us!"

Tapping her feet impatiently, the girl looks at the two remaining men in this place apart from her. Her mother must be in the back closing the back doors. She could take care of this with her stone-like attitude with no problem. Some Cantonese swearing, some hand flipping and some shoving is a technique Sabrina would love to learn from her mother, but there were rarely occasions that she would see this live. Maybe if these two would wait a little longer, her mother would show up and show them the way out that way.

Rodger watched the girl go, wondering whether or not she would keep her word. Rodger enjoyed giving people the benefit of the doubt, but her being so distinctive didn't hurt his decision to just let her go. If she didn't show up tomorrow he'd just go looking for the girl with the flower in her shoulder and give her a stern talking too. Probably while she was rooted to the dirt.

He glanced wearily over to the stone faced Vitalogy. The way that girl acted around his Stand had bugged him. "Hey buddy." She said to it. "She know something I don't? You ain't alive, are you?"

It turned its head to look at him and stayed tight lipped, doing nothing to quell Rodger's unease. Had he made it do that? He'd always thought of the Stand as a puppet he controlled with his mind. It had certainly never done anything of its own accord or offered any sort of opinion, but now that he thought about it Vitalogy did do little things, tiny gestures that couldn't come from conscious order on his part. Maybe it was controlled unconsciously, like how you adjust yourself in a chair to get more comfortable. "Here I am explaining rules when I've still got so many questions." He said, remembering that bizarre night years ago when the fireworks had malfunctioned and the confusing spectre that he had awoken with in the aftermath. It had been an odd couple of weeks after that.

He waved a hand at it and Vitalogy was banished from his sight. Thinking like that would only throw off his vibe. He set out back the way he came. As he made his way back to the front of the Golden Peking a sopping wet girl tromped past him, and he wonder for a moment what that story was. At least until he saw the windows. Particularly the big ragged hole torn in his patch job. He signed. Some people just didn't appreciate nature or quality workmanship. He wondered if he should stay and talk to the police. He was the person closest to the window, after all. But, he decided against it and headed off down the street. He hadn't really been able to see anything anyway.

In a few minutes he was using some of the money he was going to use for lunch as bus fare, and headed on home.

Milo stared at the door leading to his porch apprehensively. He was not a man who feared things easily. Some would say he didn't know when to quit. He would disagree. A vampire like him didn't have to quit. But the sun was an entirely different issue. Once, when he was a small child, for just a split second he had been exposed to the sun. The result left a crescent moon shaped scar on his hand for months. Even that little sunlight in that small amount of time was enough to harm his body. Obviously, it was unwise to venture out during the day. But he needed a lead on someone who could help him, and this "Kaiser" was his best bet for another stand user.

He reaffirmed that he had his special clothing on. A large corfam trench coat, leather gloves, and an animal skin ten-gallon hat above his regular clothes. Just in case, he also had a parasol. For most others it would be incredibly hot, but the ability to lower your own body temperature was a many splendored thing. He had tested this on UV rays and it all seemed to work. Now was the true test. He gripped the doorknob. Twisted. And flung it open.

He sighed in relief as no death came. It seemed he was fine for now, though as the sun began to set, he'd have to be much more careful. He set foot onto the concrete gingerly, as if sticking his foot into a pool to see if it was cold. Walking the razor's edge like this was simultaneously invigorating and terrifying, but eventually, he would get over it.

Asking around town for a bit, he finally came into contact with a "Kaiser" who, with a little convincing, revealed the location of the man he was looking for, Nick Rix. Apparently, he was at the Kaiser's headquarters, a large warehouse. Hopefully it didn't have many windows so he could take this ridiculous outfit off. He looked like a cowboy mixed with a drug dealer. His piercing red eyes certainly didn't help the image. He doubted he could get the gang leader on his side when he looked as he did.

As he approached the warehouse, he was surprised to see no one out front. Was this the right place? Then again, that gang member did mention something about a girl or a bag. Everyone must have been out doing whatever it is that entailed. Opening the door he assumed was the entrance, he was greeted by three buff looking people adorned with a garish green. Kaisers. He is also greeted by the sweet, sweet sight of not many windows. He sighs in relief, shrugging off his trench coat and gloves to reveal another coat, though this one red, and much shorter. He throws both the gloves and the trench coat onto a nearby couch before asking one of the men a question. "Where's your boss? I have to discuss something very important with him." He inquires, spinning his manly parasol around idly.

At first, Vinnie didn't know quite what to make of the situation. To him, the logical response to someone being nice, even if it was unnecessary, was always to return the favor. In this age, the considerate and congenial were a dying breed, after all. When the woman made a mad face at him, he balked at first, but in a split second he steeled his resolve with deftly-restrained anger. After he'd had nightmares of the Back Door Man, heard and felt its noisome breath, and seen what it did to people, was he seriously frightened of some skinny girl? Her vinegar-filled response painted him as some sort of tormentor, guilty of giving her grief for some time now. Not only that, he was a troublemaker and an outsider. Is this girl egotistic or just stupid? Having something tragic happen isn't an excuse to be so nasty to anyone, particularly someone trying to help. Could she perhaps be venting anger felt toward the others, like the oddly-dressed man, at him? For that, Vinnie couldn't really fault her. One could only expect the witless to fall back onto the one thing anyone could do: be mean.

A deep frown adorned Vinnie's face as he pulled himself together and stiffly inclined his head toward Sabrina. His words, though compliant, were tinged with venom. “Ah. My sincerest apologies. I did not mean to be such a bother. Excuse me.” After inclining his head to Reinhardt as well as if to apologize to him, too -presumably for intruding- he slipped out the way he came. As annoyed as he felt, his thoughts turned immediately to the Back Door Man. Vinnie knew that the situation had put him on edge, and so vehemently thought to himself that he didn't want the Back Door Man to terrorize the girl. Rudeness definitely did not deserve the kind of soul-crushing fear that the evil spirit caused, and it since it had responded to Vinnie's feelings of anger with a bothersome individual before, he felt it necessary to make a conscious effort to try and persuade the thing to not lash out on his 'behalf'.

Though he couldn't help but think of the whole event as a wasted chance to interact with people who might have some kind of clue about spirits, Vinnie left the situation behind. Homicides or no, he had to go to work. He walked for about twenty seconds before drawing to a stop. He didn't exactly know why until he glanced to the right and realized that he'd subconsciously paused on the street that he watched that angelic spirit move down just a short while ago. A shiver forced its way across him, and he prepared to continue walking. Just then a thought hit him: one that overwhelmed him with worry. What if I'm making a mistake? Now that he thought about it, if there was any sort of hint of figuring something out about himself or the Back Door Man, wasn't that much more important? A car's honk obliged him to move onto the sidewalk, but his mind was racing. Images flashed through his head of a movie he'd heard of that followed a certain trope. The trope was that an average salaryman would leave behind his job and go on a grand adventure of self-discovery, and through it find the kind of fulfillment that a million hours of earning money never could. Vinnie placed a hand on the side of his head. Adventures weren't really his thing. He liked routine and not being surprised. Adaptability never stood out as a strong suit of his. Plus, running headlong after the first hint that came his way could mean a huge waste of time at best or severe danger, at worst. What if someone else had a Back Door Man that was used on him? Vinnie didn't know if he could take it. Or...what if someone could do something worse? New fears prickled his mind, along with the doubts and hesitations. Yet...

Vinnie slipped his phone out of a pocket and flipped it open. He selected one of his contacts and hit the 'call' button, and in only a few seconds it connected. “Hello, Benny? I was wondering...I'm not feeling very good at the moment.” Not a lie, but not the whole truth. Those always came out easier than falsehoods. “I hate to add any more stress to the group's project, but if I could have a couple of hours, or maybe the afternoon off, I'd really appreciate it...really? Thank you so very much. I'll remember this kindness.” Click. A switch had been flipped in Vinnie's mind. Making this commitment meant there was no going back.

He began to walk with purpose, keeping an eye out for a ghostly white apparition or the distinctive young woman it had been near. Rounding a corner, he nearly crashed into a brown-haired woman in wet clothes. Rather than her damp attire, however, Vinnie noticed that she'd been one of the people at the restaurant, though lamentably not the one he sought. Still...odd that they'd meet again like this after parting ways, even if it was only a few minutes ago. With no knowledge of whether he should be subtle or not, Vinnie felt like taking risks to try and get results quickly—he did still need to work, after all. Still, that didn't mean he could gallivant around and run into people. As strange as circumstances were, he could not take leave of common sense.

Feeling like an idiot, he uttered an apology. “I'm sorry. How clumsy of me. Are you alright?” He rather pointedly hoped that this woman wouldn't brush him off like Sabrina did. What were the odds of running into someone else from the restaurant episode again? Thinking quickly, he slipped off a black silk glove and offered it to her. “You must be soaking. Would that I had a handkerchief to give you, but maybe this'll help dry your face, at least.” He made sure to stand an arm's length away from her following the near-collision. In his experience, women had varying degrees of concern for personal space, and unless you were the epitome of handsome -which Vinnie would never boldly proclaim to be- they would get uncomfortable and outright dismiss men who they thought were too close.

For whatever reason, it seems Jim, Rick and Mohammed have chosen to take their breaks just inside the entrance of the Kaiser warehouse. The sudden appearance, then, of some guy in a bunch of clothing is somewhat of a shock to them; however, they are not particularly concerned about his manner as he enters into the room, removes his gloves and his outer coat, and asks where he might find their leader.

'What, are you here to discuss umbrella patterns with him?' Jim asks, somewhat mockingly. He's promptly slapped upside the head by both of his companions, one of whom berates him for still not learning his lesson and also it's a parasol, the other turning to Milo and saying 'He's just inside. You caught us at a good time, we just got back from some philanthropy.' Putting an arm round the teen's back and pushing him in toward the warehouse, he calls out to Nick: 'Hey, Chief! We've got someone here who wants to talk to you!'

Nearing the end of his ability to continue inhaling, Nick finally allows himself to exhale the air he's taken in, then nods to himself, stands, and strolls to the edge of the floor he's on, swinging himself round and over the fence, dropping a little way to grab the edge of the floor, then allowing himself to drop the remaining distance to ground level, landing in a catlike crouch belying his extremely large physique. 'Right, who needs my assistance, then?' he asks jovially, turning to face the newcomer-

And he is struck with a bad feeling about Milo almost the moment he lays eyes on the teen. It's not often he has this feeling, but it almost always suggests trouble - a very few bullies he fought in school produced it, Simon Baines produced it particularly strongly, twofold when he came back as a member of the undead, and now this kid. So what could be drawing it out now, Nick wonders as he approaches... and an impossible thought occurs to him as he realises just how still this person is. Not for lack of larger movement, but... little things, tiny shifts that are usually filtered out by the human mind. His chest seems not to move under the layers of clothing, his limbs seem not to twitch slightly as blood pulses through them... and he is, after all, quite pale even in the half-light of the warehouse.

'So... how about you three head out now, then? You have a job to do, don't you?' Nick points out as he cautiously draws closer, to which his three earlier companions mutter in agreement, leaving the warehouse and closing the doorway behind them. Alone with Milo now, Nick realises two things: it's just a little bit colder in the warehouse now than it was a minute ago, becoming slightly moreso as he moves closer to the person before him... and leather has never been particularly good at letting sunlight through.

'That's a lot of layers for a kid like you to be wearing, isn't it?' Nick asks, not quite willing to accept what he's sure is true by now. 'I mean, that much heat, trapped under so much leather, must be like a furnace... you'll have a stroke, catch your death...' he draws nearer still, now crouching to see under the oversized hat. 'You know, if you haven't caught it already...'

Blood red eyes. And even if the white hair and lack of pigmentation indicates that he is an albino, the sensation in Nick's gut is now impossibly strong, urging him to get away from this thing in human form as fast as possible, or else beat it to paste before it can hurt anyone else. 'Vampire,' Nick finishes, an angry snarl growing on his face as he draws up to his full height, fists balling as he glares toward the creature before him. 'You've come up with an ingenious method of getting around during the day, I'll admit, but the last vampire who tried to attack me and my group died in seconds, and unlike him, you don't have any zombies to help you. You'd better have a damn good reason for being here, or you'll be joining Baines in Hell before you can say "I'm an immortal superhuman, stupid"!'

Stray Dog Strut

Kijo Kokorensin

Kijo had long feared the mystery of death, one wouldn’t call her suicidal- careless without a doubt, but not suicidal. The woman had been afflicted with a curious flame inside of her, this flame would burn and seek out any information, any curiosities; perhaps this very will, these flames were what birthed The Outsider, her stand.. what an odd thing too call it. Kijo seemed deep in thought in front of the men, they were probably threatening her or something, she had quiet frankly just became bored with them.

She did the right thing, she gave their money back.

The dark haired woman would sigh, she really missed her outfit. It’d be so hard finding a nice one. She would move away from the men, and she could feel The Outsider’s tension raise instantly, it never liked her too go into battle for instance, it always would scold her, tell her too wait for the battle, too be patient. She wasn’t a doctor, so she didn’t need any patients. Smirking slightly she’d look too the flower, huh.. she had almost forgotten this had been on her shoulder. “What do you say lil buddy, do you need watered?”

The would begin too walk off, and only stop when she heard the sound of a gun cocking, well fuck. Sighing deeply. “You know, i’m really disappointed in you boys.” The Outsider would slowly appear behind her,. “Waste this bitch...” the voice would be dripping in acid, each word filled with hate as they would aim and the sound of bullets would echo through out the area, this would continue for about a minute. “Boss...” a man would speak up as they looked too where the woman had been, their duffle bag had only laid there- Well, what was left of it. The woman’s body was no where too be found.

Kijo had been on sitting on the roof of a building only a couple houses down from the men. Who would no doubt be scrambling off from the crime scene. Kijo would glance back for a moment, as her eyes would glance over the streets, and there were the police, wow that was pretty fast.. but she supposed they did shoot a lot at her. Staring too the direction of the scene she would sigh, wondering if they took the duffle bag or if there was anything left of it. She honestly felt bad about doing that, but the regrets were fleeting and she would crack her neck and then back.

“You were right, I should probably start stretching more.” “We don’t understand the affects of this yet, Kijo.” The Outsider would look to her. “Every time i give you my abilities, every time you do this reckless-” “Hey, T.o...Do you want me too die?” The Outsider would go quiet, tilting it’s head too her. “Don’t be so selfish, I do not know if I can survive if you die, I am not willing too take that chance.” It would float in front of her. “Then you have nothing too worry about, even if you’re a heartless bastard .” she spoke flatly, here for a second she thought The Outsider cared for her well being. Kijo didn't plan on dying anytime soon, but if it happened- well, that was an exciting thought.

“So I do not have a heart?” The sad thing was, she wouldn’t be able to figure out if The Outsider was mocking her, or being serious. Kijo had been to frustrated to ask it. Moving too stick too roof tops, she doubted police would have anyone too interrogate. Pausing, as The Outsider would look too her, “You’ve never been friendly with a human before, but I suppose him having a Stand wouldn’t make him a normal human.” it would float around her as she would continue too run, until she was a couple streets over, landing on the sidewalk with a soft thud, she’d sigh and glance too it. “And you are keeping your word?” Kijo would glance too it and dig her hands into the pockets of the trench coat- if i may remind you all, the one she didn’t have on. She would pause, and smack her forehead against her door.

“Yeahh, I saw you forgot too take your keys out of your pockets.” What a dick

“Good news is you have another reason too go back too the Golden peking.” The creature would speak up as it would tilt it’s head. “I don’t want too see you for a while. Sick of your preaching.” The Outsider would scoff before disappearing. The creature honestly just liked too hear it’s own voice, or whatever, mind hear, however it’s telepathy worked, or maybe it could speak, it didn’t speak around Rodger... but it wasn’t like T.o was the friendliest. Kijo would suddenly stop, fuck. Hopefully the tall dude from before was to mentally scarred to tell his boss about Rodger, or even remember him, she never had too worry about another before.. hm, perhaps she'd have too deal with those gangsters permanently.

Perhaps she would introduce herself too the owners of the store, but should she use her real name or a fake one. Rubbing her chin softly as she pondered, A part of her wanted her too take the money right now too her-No that wouldn't work, would it- No, it’d be weird too just come out of no where with money and then give it away too a stranger, and it wasn’t like she planned on telling the owners this was actually kind of her fault if she never led them here, it’d never get wrecked.

Too be fair, she hadn’t promised Rodger that she was bringing the truth, just money too pay the damage. “Better get there before it closes, right lil buddy.” She would glance too the flower before walking in the direction she thought the Golden peking was in, she at least hoped it was in. She also wasn’t opposed too just dropping the money off, with a nice note inside, you know an anonymous stranger- but she wouldn't be sure if that was too shady or not.

Milo growled lowly, barring his fangs as one of Nick's servants insulted him. Luckily, the other two physically reprimanded him, and also reminded him that the device in his hand was a parasol, not an umbrella. A very major difference. As one of them approached, Milo quickly raised his body temperature to a more regular level, though still cool, and tried to make himself less murder-y. As he was wrapped in one of the buff men's embrace, he again responded negatively. Milo wanted to chuck him across the room for laying a finger on him, but it was rude to harm another man's servants, and Milo needed Nick on his side. So the physical abuse would have to wait.

As they all approached the inner warehouse, the man whose arm was wrapped around Milo called out for his boss. Nick drops down onto the ground floor, his face shifting ever so slightly as he lays eyes on Milo. Nick seemingly studied him for a short while. As the Kaiser Chief got closer, he had a look on his face like he was recognizing something. Something bad, something he didn't like. He quickly dismissed his servants, and they leave through the door which Milo came. Good. Now they could talk.

Nick continued to get closer, seemingly taunting the vampire child. Milo couldn't help but smile as the gang leader got closer to realizing the truth. Or maybe he already knew, and was trying to bait Milo? The gang leader was a smart man, after all. He seemingly mastered his ability, the stand, from the stories he had heard. The man got closer again still, crouching, ready to strike, peering at Milo from under the large hat.

And finally he says it. That word. "Vampire." Milo mimicked at the same time, unable to help himself. As Nick threatened Milo, a particular sentence caught in his head. 'the last vampire died in seconds.' A sickly sweet smile graced Milo's face at that, and he could barely contain himself. He huffs in some kind of pleasure, before shoving his fist into the air. "Yes! The perfect specimen, yes! You'll be such a great help to me, Nick! Oooohhh I can see the look on my father's face as he shrivels into ash! Show it to me! Show me your Stand!" He exclaimed manically, before summoning 「HEART OF GLASS」, it morphing through his fingers. The normally cool and superior Milo seemed to be replaced with a childlike and perverse teen, obsessed with his new toy.
