Avice was walking towards her, was she going to speak to her, what would she say, did she noticed me looking? Aoife heard the other girl call her name, [i]'she is talking to me,'[/i] she thought in surprise.

[i]"Hello! How was your summer?" Avice said, and after a short thoughtful pause, "So, which one of them do you like? Both of them? Can you tell the difference? Not everyone can so don't feel bad! Don't play coy, I saw you looking at them!" she said, giggling.[/i]

"What?!" She responded looking confused at Avice when it suddenly hit her what the girl meant, "oh! no... I don't... I mean they seem nice but I have never spoke to them" 

She didn't want to tell Avice that she found the twins creepy, but when she went over what she said in her head she realised that it probably sounded like she did [i]"like"[/i] one or both of them. Then she noticed the awkward silence that had formed between the two girls and remembered Avice's first question

"My summer was good, but I miss my family and the smell of the sea. How was yours?"
