Masaru's spirit seemed to brighten as more supplies were brought out of the wreckage; after all, this much was already a miracle and a half on its own. Turk's return with a bunch of fish, too, was certainly something to be pleased about. But at the same time, though... Well, the grains they had recovered were probably meant to be sown into the ground like the kitsune had mentioned earlier. In essence, everything they had here was for the future, which meant that the issue right now was finding a source of food that didn't consist of grains. The fish, at least, was a start, but... "Huh? Oh, shoot. That's... Unpleasant." There was some sort of snakelike creature lying off in one of the darker corners of the room, glaring at him. While it only seemed to have just been awakened, Masaru frowned and shook his head before cautiously glancing at the creature, what it was guarding, and the rest of the people salvaging. "A snake...? I think that's a snake. Crap. Hope it ain't poisonous. Guys! Careful over here!" With a bit of squinting, Masaru could make out the slightest indication of what the snake was sitting on--a box of... Wait, was that labeled 'hardtack'? Well, admittedly, that tasted pretty damn horrible, but workable food was, in fact, workable food. A crate of that size, if rationed properly, could last for a day or two... But hey, better than nothing! "Anyone got, like... Something to kill this thing? Or at least scare it off? I'm pretty sure we don't want to risk poison right now, y'know?"
