Just roll with it. If your character is outside somewhere, roleplay her seeing some people in the distance and approaching, or have them be a little too loud while scavenging. Anything goes really, as long as it's realistic in what actions your character would actually take. Most people wouldn't jump into the streets and yell "I'm over here and I want to join a group!", and most people don't want to kill every other human being they meet (at least not yet >:] ). Roll with the RP, I'm sure you'll do fine!
