[@Kidd] A day or two might have given her at least enough time to get acclimated and to know where to eat and sleep, for example, so she'll be able to notice when something's odd -- but then, if she's just arriving you could RP her first venture into the village.

It's entirely up to how you want to introduce her, really. :)
