It was certainly a strange situation that they were in. When she went on this trip, she had expected someone smarter and more experienced to organize everyone and get them working on the right things. Yukine, of course, had expected to be working on preparing a plot of land for a farm, but with so few of them left... well, she imagined that her responsibilities would be expanding a bit. She wasn't one to complain, and she was more than happy to help out in any way she could, but she just didn't even know where to begin. Worse yet, by the looks of things, there were no elders to ask for advice. The first pang of fear struck her heart, but she took a deep breath and silenced those thoughts immediately. It wouldn't be good to appear weak before anyone really knew her. The question now was who to talk to. Sevita had run off to take care of the snake, the ogre and the bottle lady weren't back yet... But, she did see Masaru with some of the others helping another girl. Good, they found another survivor! More hands and more friends were both good news as far as Yukine was concerned. She decided to go over and talk to Masaru. Sure, he wasn't officially in charge or anything, but he was the one who woke them up and he was the one who had suggested they check out the wreck; right now he was the closest thing to a leader she could find. So she walked up to him and gave him a gentle tap on the shoulder. "Excuse me, Masaru?" she said in a sheepish voice, hoping she wasn't interrupting something important. "We took care of the snake and finished dragging the supplies out of the wreck." She motioned to the boxes of seeds and food she had neatly stacked next to the wreck, well away from the reach of the crashing waves on the shore. "I'm not sure what to do next. I was supposed to help some of the others start clearing away land for a farm once we got ashore, but looks like that's gotta wait for a bit." She rubbed her head, trying to think of what they should do next. They needed shelter, lots more food, water, and plenty of other things that weren't coming to mind right now. "Is there something I can do to help?" She looked first at Masaru, and then at the others nearby. She didn't mind who was giving her directions, so long as someone could get her on the right track.
