He had discarded what Dustin had said about being able to fry him. He had a plan, if it came to that. A last resort that would catch Dustin completely by surprise... if his most recent illusory wall didn't start flickering, showing him to be far closer than Dustin had first thought. [i]Aww crap baskets.[/i] If Dustin had been checking his electroreception, he would have immediately noticed there was no shift in Jeremy's bioelectric field, meaning he had considered and planned his illusion mostly upon that, which was why it now began to flicker due to him overseeing a visual error. Illusions were tricky business when dealing with more than five senses, and Jeremy had been rushing to get into a favorable position.
