When you think about what you'd like to have with you on a desert island, everyone always says something stupid, like their iPod, or their favorite book. No one says their bed. And those are the people who haven't spent enough time sleeping on a hard concrete floor, in the middle of winter. Charlie, on the other hand, has spent plenty of time on a hard concrete floor in the middle of winter, and so he very much appreciates the wonders of a good mattress. For this reason, the redheaded teenager found that waking up in the lodge was extremely pleasant, for this was an establishment that cared about the comfort it provided. God bless he thought, as he sat on the edge of the bed, admiring how well rested he felt. In truth, this was the first real sleep he'd gotten in ages, and all thanks to a prick who couldn't keep track of his wallet. As he rubbed his eyes, and ran a hand through his messy red hair, he recalled the dream that he'd had last night. It had been so vivid, felt so real, he wasn't sure it was even a dream. There'd been a blonde woman, running with him. And then she'd leaned down, hugged him, and whispered that it would be all right. And then, she was gone, and he was flying, so high. Above an island of some sort. He sighed. Just another strange dream to add to the list. After finally getting out of bed, Charlie took a shower that he'd describe as magnificent, and he'd then quickly get dressed. Nothing too fancy, mainly because he didn't care, but also because he didn't have anything that nice. He made his way downstairs and outside, where he stood on the deck of the lodge, staying close to one of the heat lamps that were scattered around. He looked up at the sky and for the first time in a while he thought about home, about the parents who'd raised him. And inevitably, this led to thoughts about the parents he never knew. I'll find them. I'm so close. I can feel it

Location: Southern Palace, Oz Interacting With: Herself [sub]Outfit[/sub]

Glinda's eyes fluttered open as the rising sun beamed in through her windows and onto her face. Smiling, she sat up in her bed and clapped her hands, summoning two servant girls. The girls rushed about the room, getting her gown for the day prepared. Once they'd finished, she stood up and let them slip the dress onto her. Still smiling she held out her hand and one girl placed her staff in her hand. Staff in her right hand, she snapped her fingers together and her hair rearranged itself into neatly arranged, wavy tresses that cascaded down her back. She left her room then, her servants falling in line behind her as she walked through the magnificent halls of her castle, her elegant dress trailing behind her. "Have all the preparations been made for the festival?" she asked a servant, who answered with a quick nod. The festival she was referring to was the Elevation Day Festival, the celebration of the day Oz was formally joined with Maleficent's queendom, a glorious day. It also happened to be the day that Glinda became the Good Witch of the South. She waved her hand as she neared the main doors of the palace and they swung open, revealing a crowd of Ozians screaming her name. She walked out and floated up to a platform that was waiting for her and with a wave of her hand, the crowd stopped talking, their voices having been magically silenced. Smiling she began to speak, her voice carrying over the crowd. "Today my friends, we celebrate our elevation to higher place, a place of wonder. Joined with the Queen, we are a much better people! For, I would not be where I am today without the generosity of our good queen, and neither would any of you! And so today, we thank her with our celebrations! Now, let's have a celebration the Glinda way!" she shouted, giggling as the people's screams resumed. Music began playing around the outside of the palace and servants poured out, food in hand. Festival games sprung up in the empty fields and people flooded to them, shrieking excitedly, while Glinda smiled softly. This was what she'd always wanted, all of this. Power and nothing more. Her soft smile grew into a grin and she began to dance to the orchestra music that had begun to play, laughing all the way.
