◾Biography
Deavote was born Catalon Hyland, to the Lord of Hyland's cousin, Eripe Hyland. During her young age, Eripe was Grand Caretaker of Mount Promonon, so they lived in the castle with her uncle and his family. During this time, she got into many fights, arguments, and the like with just about all the other children in a five mile radius. This slowly grew on her, and by 14 she vehemently hated her stance in life. A traveling band of preachers had come from a nearby monastery, and she begged her father to let her escape those dreaded relatives. Of course, he refused. So instead she ran away on her own. At the monastery, she changed her name to Deavote, after the Virtuo Deavote, who famously rejected all temptations and thus ascended to a higher state of wisdom. She requested to join their ranks in the monastery, and in doing so, was stripped of her family name, status, and all personal belongings, something she was perfectly fine with.
