[@ladyanglaise] Micah nervously picked at her dress as the never-ending flurry of butterflies flew around in her stomach. Her mother watched her with a concerned look on her face. "Are you sure about this, honey? It's not too late. You don't have to go through with this if you don't want to." Taking a deep breathe, she gave her mother a small smile. "I...I'm sure. I think it'll be good for me. Taking a risk and all... A-and who knows? Maybe he will be my perfect match." As much as she tried to put on a brave front, her mother could see right through her but relented nonetheless. "Okay, if you're sure." Her mother kissed the top of her head before giving her a tight hug. She cupped Micah's face in her hands and gave her what seemed like a bittersweet smile. "You look beautiful, honey. I'll be in the front row, okay?" Micah nodded and watched her mother leave the room. Now that her mother was gone she felt her nerves resurfacing again at full force. Micah was never one to take risks and the thought of marrying someone she hadn't even met before terrified her, but the idea of going through what her parents' went through terrified her even more. She just really hoped everything would work out. Glancing at the clock she saw that it was almost time for the ceremony. Micah checked herself in the mirror one last time. Her mother had really outdone herself with Micah's hair and make-up. She had never thought of herself as anything but average and for once she thought she looked quite pretty. She took another deep breath. This was it. Her father was going to walk her down the aisle and then she was going to be married to a complete stranger.
