For a moment, John considered the possibility of just saying no and walking away; It wouldn't be to difficult since the witch doctor was clearly giving him an out right here and now and no one would be able to blame him for taking it. Truthfully he had never had much hope for just about any pairing that he could have gotten from this arranged marriage deal due to his status as a member of the undead being something of a hurdle towards having a proper relationship with a member of the living, but if he walked away now he would have to go back to Halloween Town after giving up at the first sign of trouble. 

He couldn't do that to his father or his mother; They hadn't raised a quitter and he wasn't going to let them down after they put so much effort into getting his name on the list. 

Keeping his voice down in order to not cause any more of a scene then had already occurred, John calmly answered the witch doctor "[color=00a651]She said yes. She even provided her own vows, which is something I noticed most of the other couples didn't do. Since the lady is willing, I suggest we keep going.[/color]"
