Alright, so I've had the ideas floating around now for ages regarding an RP set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000. The main idea would be a smaller band of Space Marines, that are former heretics or otherwise suspected of being heretics. Exiles of their chapter, they banded together into what are effectively kill teams, except these teams aren't expected to come back.

The plot would revolve around them going on a suicide mission to recover an ancient Necron artifact of immense value to the Imperium, and if they survive - they [i]may[/i] be absolved of their sins...
