Actually, given how the Soviets were betrayed by the megalomaniacal psychic Yuri from within, meeting a ship full of psychics would be... interesting. Part of the Soviets would be naturally inclined to learn the secrets of psychic powers, if only to defend themselves against such powers. Another part would want to destroy the psychics before their "inevitable" betrayal. Naturally they'd attempt to do both at once.

That means there would be at least one period of peace in which the Advent has time to [i]change the Soviet's minds[/i]. Teehee.
