Out of habit, she tries to appear presentable to others. Her hair is always done in generally the same style, roughly pulled into twin-tails. As for her apparel, she usually wears somewhat functional short dress along with a coat. While such a choice in clothing would be considered cumbersome, it is actually the most manageable of her family's signature style of long flowing dresses and other gaudy accessories. Luckily, she only uses this clothing while inside of the Spire or with her family. On her missions, she tends to wear rather standard clothing. Elemette stands at a rather average 5'4" with a rather normal build. Her hair and eyes are brown, and she has a small amount of freckles. Besides that, there really isn't much to her appearance. Nothing stands out as remarkable about her. Personality: Elemette is considerably meek, given her family. She's soft-spoken and rather warm-hearted. She tends to get nervous very quickly, but she can take a large amount of stress before she breaks down. She gets embarrassed rather easily. Despite all of this, she's rather a happy person, doing her best to smile. While she does have a high tolerance for stress, she has various tendencies whenever she does get stressed. She bites her thumb whenever she does get stressed, to the point of breaking the skin and drawing blood. She also bites the insides of her mouth. She just, well, bites whatever is near when she's stressed. Her outlook on life is rather naive. To put it in simplest terms, Elemette believes that life is worth living, no matter what happens. For her, the glass is always half-full, even if the glass is metal and filled with angry spiders. Biography: The Attendant family is the lowest of the royalty. They are a strange family, due to being entirely populated by courtesans. Such is due to the nature of the family. Rather than a standard lineage, the family offers "special services" to higher ranking royal families, as an alternative way to keep up appearances and have children without marrying downwards into other suits. Because of this, the royal lineages are preserved throughout the sons birthed, while the daughters return to the Attendant family. One may think that such a family are only used as a tool for the higher ranked families. However, this is not the case. While the Attendants are one of the lowest ranked Hearts and are generally disrespected by higher ranked Hearts, they are also one of the most influential families due to the amount of favours they have accumulated from their services. Elemette was born to be a courtesan. Such a fate was the norm for people born into this family; the only other choice being a servant for the less influential families. While being born into such a fate, everyone, be it nature or nurture, accepted their predestined path. For generations, they followed the orders of the Matriarch and did whatever they were told to. While Elemette accepted her fate, she was considerably ungraceful compared to her sisters. While her sisters had a controlling and domineering charm to them, allowing them to further their family's influence, Elemette was rather useless. She was meek and introverted. She couldn't do anything right. However, one man became obsessed with Elemette. Despite her ungraceful nature and shy demeanor, he pursued her to the realm of absurdity. He was a man from one of the highest ranking Hearts family. However, he had a despicable reputation. The previous Attendants that had been given to him had all perished. Occasionally, the family would receive a violently bruised corpse. Other times, they would receive nothing at all. Elemette was fearful. Being sent off to such a family would mean certain death. She didn't want to be sent off to such a family. Her fear broke through her meekness and the Matriarch gave an ultimatum, hedging on the bet that Elemette would be too meek to disobey what she wanted. Be sent away to the man or leave the family forever. Gathering what will she had, Elemette chose the latter option. She was quickly excommunicated. With nowhere left to go, she became a student of the Spire.
The System
Stats: Health: 10 Sanity: 14 Willpower: 11 Stamina: 10 Strength: 10 Dexterity: 10 Stealth: 10 Magic: 12 Vigilance: 10 Luck: 8 Loadout: Heartbeat (Lvl. 1): Elemette emits a magical pulse from her heart, healing all nearby allies (including Elemette) for 3 HP (defensively) or damaging living enemies for 3 HP (offensively). I'd like to think that the general store is practicing marketing on me, to encourage me to buy the 15 gold shovel while the shovel market value goes for 10 gold.
