Appearance:  Derek stands at 6'1 and has a runners build. His short black has a streak of red dyed into it, resembling the head wound he got in a car crash. His gray eyes can be seen through the lenses of his glasses.

Personality: He can be bit of a skeptic, but he is willing to accept the impossible if given strong enough evidence. He has a strong desire to protect children which can make him reckless at times. Due to a childhood trauma he greatly prefers motorcycles to cars.

Brief Backstory: When Derek was fourteen years old he lost his parents, as well as his memory of life before the car crash. After a stay in the hospital it didn't take long for him to be adopted by a foster family. While the Johnsons were kind and patient it took quite a long time before Derek could get in a car without having a panic attack. Naturally because of his trauma he also spent some time in therapy which greatly helped him, so much in fact that he has decided to study and become a therapist himself.
