[@Dawnscroll] I understand your knee jerk reaction. She could have phrased and communicated better, but I think most people can tell it wasn't meant to be condescending. To be fair, your own statement was not really helpful in letting anyone else understand what you meant. Saying you are used to a different RP does not communicate what the differences are or what is tripping up your expectations. She could have asked what the difference was instead of giving the response she did, but by no means was anybody trying to belittle anyone else. There was a lot of missed opportunity for communication all around.

As for everything zooming by so quickly, she did say that she'd accelerate events due to my announcement some days ago. Not the approach I would have taken, but eh, live and learn. It's not a big thing to complain about. As we have it now, there is plenty of opportunity for some natural interaction to get ourselves established. Plus, you can always take the approach that I am: writing out the character going through each of these transitions until we arrive at the current moment in time. 

Also, I can appreciate the rush for what it is. It does bring about that same sense of urgency that you might experience in the same situation.
