And Cyberbullies are not bullies. You can easily turn off your phone or computer and ignore people who try to make you feel horrible, yet you can't do that in real life because they will come to your face. You could just easily block a Cyberbully. They are really just fucktards that try to bring you down and get a reaction from you. Don't give them what they want.
i know this is a place for unpopular opinions, but this is seriously something that people need to get out of their heads. it doesnt matter if cyberbullying is in person. in fact, the fact it isnt makes things even worse. if you're like me, then having a complete stranger who doesnt know you say terrible crap about your is soul-crushing. it plants thoughts in your head. do i really act like that? does everyone think that i'm a retard/faggot/dickhead/etc? do my online friends only interact with me because they feel sorry for me or they want to shut me up? does nobody like me? the list goes on. trust me, i've experienced all of this. in fact, i feel like internet bullying is worse than physical bullying imo. when its physical, you know what the bully is like. if they're a crappy person, then re-assuring yourself that what they say isnt true is easier. on the internet, you know just as little about them as they know about you. they could be a fantastic person with a way better life than you that thinks you're a complete asshole for all you know. be it in person or online, words cut deep. they leave scars. sometimes metaphorically, and, in the worst case scenario, physically. i feel like when it comes to the teens who commit suicide and get depressed over cyberbullying, their mood is worsened by people making their situation out to be invalid. it makes them feel crappy and like they're overreacting. its really not a good thing to go through. this is just my opinion, as that is just your opinion, but i needed to share this.
