Day 6: A song you can always relate to
A song about a kid with a lot of ideas, who isn't really influenced by his peers or his parents, but by his own imagination. Plus it's fuckin' badass. We'd play her songs sarcastically and make poker face jokes. But some of her stuff is pretty catchy. (Small story, I was at work on my route and was blasting this on the radio. I got out of my truck and saw this middle aged black guy dancing to my music sarcastically and I joined him in the parking lot.) Growing up as a tan mixed race kid in Jacksonville Florida (where I was mistaken as Latino a fair bit) and just being surrounded by Latino and summer themes made me relate to this song so much back in 1999 when I was 8, and now. I want to sing this song at some point.
