Crap. Her dad was standing there with a beer bottle in his hand as he continued to groan, coughing and cowering over to grab his stomach before throwing up yet again. "Aw, c'mon man!! New shoes." Usually, Abbie wasn't one to care about appearances but when it came to her new shoes that she had bought the day before, she was pissed. Abbie saved up 20 bucks to be able to but those converse sneakers and it was all a waste now. She wasn't able to dodge in just in time. Abbie had spent the entire morning tending to her father's sickness. Either he was poisoned, sick, or the beer just wasn't working that specific day. Her clothes for the day were a mess and the odor of vomit was strong. So, she took a fresh shower and wore whatever she could find the quickest. Abbie only starts actually ditching class when it was 2 weeks into school. That way, the teachers barely notice small details and it's easier. It didn't really matter if she was at the school or not. Abbie found that she was pretty unnoticeable when she wasn't there which led to her taking her sweet time. School, how fun. Abbie found herself annoyed with English class and not a fan of math class in general. English caused the young girl to cringe, frustrated at the words that tended to seem completely different than what they actually said. However, that was something she would deal with when it was time for that class. Walking into the school building and realizing that it was already lunch was just great. Missing introductions? Yes. Every year, the same ritual. The first 4 classes, if not all would want to learn more about you or for you to get to know each other. I mean, did those "activities" even matter? Some people are bound to hate each other and some are bound to like the other. Doesn't matter how many group projects you give out to them really. She didn't have to search for the cafeteria, finding her way easily and smiling when she found out that it was pizza day.
