Trump or Clinton will still punch the middle class in the gut either way. Trump's gonna cut back on clean-air and eco-friendly laws to help maximize production in our industries, but in how many years is that feasible? Would tariffs on Chinese products be effective enough to stop the Chinese machine? How much would those cheaply made products cost in the future with a more regulated manufacturing sector like ours? How much are we willing to give up to retake that 50's sort of vibe where the entire nation was obscenely rich? (A working-class man afford a house in the suburbs nowadays? Borderline impossible without a spouse to help.) Barely anyone talks about the middle class in concern with taxation, but hell, if you get to that point, it's fucking hard to regain that lost money without gambling it on stocks or taking risks on the right company in the right industry. That top 1%? They can just set the price on their products on the market accordingly, regardless of monopolism. But the middle class can't climb any higher, either. And all those taxpayer dollars, for powering a de facto war that hadn't really ended.
