They are very thin and limber, with relatively narrow shoulders, lack of defined muscles, and their inability to easily gain weight—or muscle mass, for that matter. They’re lightly muscled from the extensive amounts of time they spend doing chores and running errands for their family’s business, but their long-term endurance is relatively poor and they’re not notably strong by any means of the word. However, what they lack in physical power and longevity they nearly make up for in speed and agility, possessing an almost enviable flexibility and their above average swiftness. They are built in such a way that they could be remarkably stealthy if they needed to be, but have yet to need or have practiced such a skill set. Concerning their constitution, Cyrille is not made to withstand many direct—or even indirect—hits in a fight, but they’re difficult to hit in the first place if a fight is fair. Their pain tolerance is rather average, considering they have never really been in a situation where they have been badly injured or deathly ill, so they’ve had no ways by which to ‘toughen up’, and their pain threshold isn’t remarkably high either. In terms of proportions, Cyrille is slightly long legged, making them seem even more willowy and ‘fragile’ than they actually are, and their features are rather rounded and soft-looking—despite their other ectomorphic traits—, giving them a friendly and somewhat child-like appearance. Their face is circle-shaped, with a rounded chin and slightly high cheekbones, although the aforementioned cheekbones appear just as soft as the rest of their face. Their overall appearance typically gives a stranger the impression that they are at least a few years younger than they actually are. • Height: 5’4” • Hair: Cyrille’s hair is a dark shade of auburn with red-brown highlights, and it is somewhat wavy and very fluffy in terms of texture. Their hair is also very fine, which contributes significantly to its surprising softness, and it’s very full-bodied as well. In terms of length, it falls evenly to just a couple of inches above their shoulders, and they do attempt to keep it orderly and clean when they can, although due to their relatively active lifestyle it is frequently some degree of disarray. However, to attempt to keep their locks from becoming unmanageably tangled and from getting in the way, Cyrille will often keep it pulled back in a short low ponytail, but aside from this, has never bothered to style it in any other way. In more formal situations, they simply wear their hair down, as they have never seen any reason to try anything ‘fancier’. • Eyes: Their eyes are a deep, warm mahogany brown color, and are ringed by a slightly darker shade of brown. They generally tend to have a very open and pleasant look to them, and it’s very easy to gauge how Cyrille is feeling by the look in their eyes—they are not practiced in the arts of deceit and can’t fully ’shut off’ or fake their emotions in front of others quite yet. • Skin: Cyrille’s skin is a very light, pale, shade with slightly peachy undertones, and, as they live in an area of their world in which the sun is not particularly harsh on a regular basis, their skin has not darkened much at all despite their near constant exposure to the elements. They don’t tend to freckle at all, but their skin burns quite easily, and said sunburn rarely ever results in anything remotely resembling a tan. • Scars/Markings/Etc.: Considering the relatively uneventful lifestyle they’ve lead until recently, they don’t really have any scars worthy of note. In fact, the only noticeably scarred parts of their body would be their hands, as Cyrille’s love of gardening and studying flora has not been particularly easy on them, in addition all the various tasks and chores they complete on a daily basis for their parents’ inn. They have no tattoos or piercings, either, as that’s never been of interest to them and even if it had been, there’s no place where they live where such things are easily attainable. At present, they have no other markings worthy of note.
Their Story So Far
Pre Act I For the entirety of their life, Cyrille has eked out a very unexciting existence in Somnant, a small and picturesque village located in the foothills of [Insert Generic Impressive Mountain Range Name Here™]. Not much tends to happen in their sleepy corner of the world, and they’ve spent the entirety of their childhood and most of their adolescence catering to their parents’ every need on their livestock farm without much complaint. As the eldest of four children, it’s practically a given that they will inherit their family’s farm, and despite the fact they do not enjoy the fact that they make a living off of directly raising animals only to sell them off to be slaughtered, it’s a living. However, they somehow have managed to have somewhat of a life outside of their responsibilities, as they have managed to develop a passion for botany—and even exploration, to a degree—during their trips to the outskirts of Somnant in search of new plant life to investigate and sketch. Over the past month, they’ve been daydreaming a bit more than usual, their sketches of plants taking a more fantastical turn and taking on attributes unlike the flora they’ve seen near home, becoming spikier and brighter and showier than the soft, simple mountain flowers and grasses they know. They also have begun to wonder a bit more about what the rest of the world is like, and have consequently begun to wonder about what strange and wonderful things they might find if they ventured just a bit further on their next outing. Of course, such a thing seemed to be highly irresponsible for a young adult such as Cyrille, so they began to attempt to resign themselves to the fact that they needed to keep their love of plants a hobby, and that their work was destined to be their main purpose in life. Or so they thought at the time, anyways…
Extras & Headcanons
(to be written later)
