The magical energies of the realm have imbued into his very soul granting him split second foresight. The Foresight allows him to dodge all but the fastest of attacks, the energies granting him the speed to do so. Force of Goch As with the Foresight, the Veil has giving Draig supernatural strength. He is able to throw a main battle tank with a reasonable amount of effort and can punch his way through a bank vault door in one shot. Enhanced Durability As a result of the Bindings of Annwn, Leolin has an increased durability to all damage. His body can withstand a direct hit from an armour piercing tank round and he is able to fall from great heights with no risk of injury. Teleportation The Daggers of Annwn provide a direct link to Draigs soul. Draig is able to pinpoint their exact location at all times. He can teleport himself directly to wherever they may be, although the greater the distance, the harder it is on his body. Distances over a mile induce nausea, while distances over 100 miles will result in him immediately blacking out upon arrival. Draig is unable to teleport the daggers to his location. When teleporting, a small cloud of white smoke and bright sparks of residual magical energy are left behind, disipating moments later. In addition, with several minutes of focussing, Draig can teleport into the Veil with no ill effects.
Items Daggers of Annwn The daggers are made of a mystical ore called Gwyn, which is found only in the realms of Annwn. The most comparable material to Gwyn is Uru, which is an ore used by the Asgardians. The daggers are bound to the soul of the person who owns them, amplifying their magical talents while in their possession. They grant the owner abilities beyond that which they are capable of themselves. Bindings of Annwn A cloth and leather like armour in appearance that is imbued with millennia old magic. The energies spread through the wearers body granting increased durability. Much like the daggers, the Bindings are tied to Draigs soul. If they receive any damage they regenerate almost instantly.
Weaknesses - [Within Self/Granted By Items] Human While wearing the Bindings of Annwn, Draig is able to withstand the most severe of attacks. Without them he is no more resistent to damage than any other human. While he still has The Foresight, anything capable of landing a blow would essentially be hitting a normal man. Annwn Above All While the Mabinogi are taught by their ancestors to defend humanity, the veil must take priority. Should the Veil fall into the wrong hands then humanity would most certainly be devastated. As such, the Mabinogi are oathbound to defend the Veil above all else if called to its defence. Bindings of Annwn The bindings make Draig a veritable juggernaut, however as with most things it does have a weakness. The element silver is able to pierce through the Bindings and their magic as if they were no more than leather armour.
Brief Bio: On the outside Iolo and Gwyneth Cadogan are a loving couple blessed with a son called Robert, but there is much more to the family than that. Iolo and Gwyneth are part of the Mabinogi, direct descendents of the ancient Druids of Britannia. The Mabinogi are a tribe that managed to pierce through the very fabric of reality through to the Veil of Annwn untold millennia ago. The Veil of Annwn exists in an ethereal realm and is home to very powerful magic. The souls of the dead Mabinogi inhabit the Veil as teachers to the young, passing on the history of the tribe. They teach the importance of humanities preservation and the need to defend it, but are instructed to always put the Veil first. Should it even fall to the Coriniaid, then humanity would be doomed for eternity. The Coriniaid are another Druid tribe that has existed as long as the Mabinogi. Where the Mabinogi strive to protect humanity, the Coriniaid want to enslave it into total servitude. The two tribes have shared the Veil in equal measure since it's discovery, neither side able to gain ground in the ancient conflict. Should the Mabinogi fall then humanity would be subjected to an eternity of hellish slavery. Robert has been raised for much of his life within the Veil, learning the history of his people and training to become as powerful a warrior as he can possibly be. Upon reaching the age of 18 he took the Oath of the Mabinogi, the result of which caused the Veil and its magic to fuse into his very being, granting him great strength and power. The Oath is a promise to protect the Veil against the Corianiad at all costs. If the Oath were ever to be broken, the power granted to him would disappear in an instant. In the years following his taking of the Oath, Robert fought in several long battles against the Coriniaid. There was no victor from these fights, simply a neutral outcome leading to several years of uninterrupted quiet. Neither tribe pushed against the other, deciding to take time to consolodate their power until the next time. It was during this "peace" that the Fourth Reich appeared. Roberts father Iolo is the Arch Lector of the Mabinogi, the person responsible for defending both the Mabinogi and wider humanity. With the Fourth Reich's invasion of the US, Iolo instructed Draig to leave the Veil and to set about defeating the Axis threat. There was a brief goodbye before Robert was teleported directly into Washington DC.
