Nah, it's fine, it was more that he had lost his honor and she was the catalyst for him abandoning the master his family had served for generations, but he can easily be tooled towards something else. Even something without any particular tragedy at all. I'll think on what to do with him and whether to change his role from ninja to something else entirely.
