[u][b]Personality:[/b][/u] It can be said that everything has been decided for her in her life, and because of it, she is a bit of a rebel towards his family when not around them. And so, she talks little of his family, nor does she ever bring up the subject, keeping such part of her life hidden and brushing off any mention of them. She believes that one of the only things they've taught her was how to keep a fake smile for a customer, and that was essentially it.

She has an initially cold attitude towards anyone she doesn't consider a close friend, and it is a sign that she's very unused to the concept of a true friend due to her childhood.  When she does befriend somebody though, she can warm up to a surprising degree, placing a great deal of trust in her friends and opening up to them when she feels the need, though remaining her usual strict self a majority of the time.

She is irritable and confident in her abilities as a pokemon trainer, though also acknowledges her deficiencies and the need to hone her skills further. Her confidence in her skills and intellect often comes off as arrogance to others. She’s been called the "know-it-all" type of person who can become best friends with her acquaintances given enough time. 

Amber remains calm and collected during an encounter and mentally coaches herself throughout it, hoping that she'll be able to learn various pokemon and what type they are. She is thoughtful and fights with precision and coordination, being analytical and tactical when in battle, having her pokemon wait for openings and play defensively. To her, a good defense is the best offense, as you can tire out the other pokemon and take advantage of that.

[u][b]Brief Bio:[/b][/u] Amber was born into the fast-pace life of Lumiose City, to parents who owned one of the many cafes. Her older sister, whom was 5 years older to be exact, was already helping the family out in the ever busy cafe, and Amber would be no exception. To her parents, she was another set of hands that could help around the store, and less so a child that needed to be filled with nourishment. So while the family hired a babysitter to watch over her for several years while she was still an infant, they would spend no time in getting her to help in the store when she was able to.

To Amber, she wasn't really sure what was going on. From opening til closing, dawn til dusk, she was in the store with her family, cleaning windows or doing dishes in the back, and then proceeding to watch television. She liked watching the educational channels about pokemon, even if she didn't understand it at the time. It was mainly just her way to watch pokemon, as she rarely got to see any besides those that would pass by the cafe, or trainers who'd let their pokemon out while they ate. The television was her portal to the pokemon world, and her parents did mind the information she managed to get out of it. While they felt she wouldn't be much of a pokemon trainer when she grew older, they didn't mind her learning about the world they lived in. To prove this, they bought an Igglybuff for the family, almost having it be like a pet that the girls could befriend and play with.

But that was probably their greatest mistake. Her family wanted nothing more than for their daughters to stay in the business, and they tried everything to keep them in the cafe. Their life revolved around it, and while Amber's sister was alright with it, Igglybuff's prescence made Amber want something more out of her life. She didn't want to be trapped in the cage that was the cafe, and even though she got a majority of what she wanted from simply asking, it wasn't enough to make her consider staying. So when she was checking the mail for her family one day, she found a letter addressed to her, asking if she wanted to help a pokemon professor. Amber couldn't have thought of a better thing to do, even if her family disagreed when she gave them the news. But they couldn't stop her, and despite their best protests, she left home with Igglybuff in hopes of finding a better purpose than a barista.

Starter's Personality: While Amber may be seen as cold, Igglybuff is exactly the opposite. She's fully of energy and life, being close to Amber and happily awaiting more pokemon to join her. She is naive when it comes to being alone, often believing other pokemon are harmless and happily following them when not with Amber. However, she is extremely clingy to her trainer.
