Appearance: James stands at 5'9 and weighs around 140 pounds. His build is ectomorphic with a slight muscular definition. His skin tone is pale and his hair are a pitch black, courtesy of his Japanese heritage. His facial structure, in the meanwhile, was inherited from his mother. A normal, unsuspecting person couldn't guess his ancestry unless he revealed it to them. What sets him apart from other guys his age is his impeccable fashion sense. He enjoys wearing custom tailored suits. Personality: Pleasant. That would be the best word to describe James. He went through his upbringing in a home of mixed nationalities and cultures, but that surprisingly meshed well and thus enabled him to develop a way of thinking that relied on logic rather than sentiment. Both his parents were religious, his father a Buddhist and his mother a devout Christian, but they didn't force their respective religions on him, electing to have him choose his own path instead. What contrasts his logical disposition is the fact he does believe in a God, but only does so in order to retain what he perceives makes people human - hope. A strength that was granted to him, a by product of his arcane philosophy, is his ability to squeeze his emotions at will. This "gift" serves him well in his line of work. When interacting in his everyday life, James appears to be a well-spoken, well-mannered guy who always sports a smile in his face while rarely ever showing his teeth. Should shit hit the fan, he will maintain his composure, assess the situation and then operate in accordance to his assessment. He can, at times, be very manipulative, a skill that's required by his job. He is also very observant. James' sense of humor is very dry and borders on dark humor. He may even unintentionally spew out something obscene. While he's not a fan of cursing or vile language, he may use it sparingly. There are certain times where James may lose control of the situation and even become flustered. He doesn't have an issue with engaging in a conversation with strangers, no matter their gender, but does get noticeably flustered once he catches on flirtatious remarks directed at him. He is also quick to turn into a self-loathing whiner whenever his investigation hits a standstill, but does recompose himself after a while. Background: Born in Lansing, Michigan to a largely dysfunctional family. His father, [NAME REDACTED], was a government employee working under Japan's National Security Council. His mother, [NAME REDACTED], was an intelligence officer working under a shadow oversight committee that was set up to investigate a potential counterfeiting scheme within the Bundeswehr. They were both given assignments in America where they met each other. Five years and four months later, little James was born, the only achievement of a marriage that would crumble shortly after. James was unremarkable in his childhood days. He laughed if he felt happy. He cried if he felt sad, and also if you punched him in the face. But, he was the son of two fairly remarkable people, so his coming of age was to be inevitable. That happened gradually, but by the time he was 12, he already had an understanding of America's national policies. Fully grasping his advanced knowledge, he kept it hidden from prying ears so as to guard a sense of normalcy, at least until his body developed enough to match his intellect. He quit school at the age of sixteen and immediately got into the business of mediating. If anyone signed a contract which they regretted shortly thereafter, he would do everything in his power to find loopholes in said contract. If there was a dispute between two parties regarding a possession, he'd waltz in and find a common ground between. That was his job in a nutshell. His business took a while to take off, mainly because people were skeptical of his abilities. Understandably, they didn't feel comfortable having a teenager solve their internal affair. After the first three successful cases though, word of mouth spread out and he gained notoriety. His success streak was interrupted when his father came to visit one day. Aware of his splendid progression in the world of business, he made him an offer that was far too ambitious for his tastes. News of people around the world dying of cardiac arrests were spreading like wildfire. People were concerned and afraid. He let James know that Japan was planning to take measures, but they needed the world's most promising sleuths to crack the case. James initially refused, but accepted the offer after some pondering. Strengths [3]:

Observation: He is very observant and is often able to notice patterns that others don't.
Emotional Manipulation: While he doesn't enjoy it, James will use immoral manipulation of emotions to achieve his goals.
Deductive and Inductive Reasoning: That is, essentially, how James draws his conclusion. So far he hasn't made an incorrect deduction.
Weaknesses [3]:

Socially Inept with Women: As stated earlier, he doesn't have an issue with chatting women so long as the conversation is not flirtatious. That's when he loses his head.
Physically Unremarkable: Punch, kick and run. That is James' fighting style in a nutshell.
Doesn't like to lose: Because he's never lost in his life, James hates it when his cases hit a standstill, as they're bound to sometimes. That's when he might flip a table.
Guilty Pleasure(s):

The Transformers movies.

Perfect!
