???-Syria "Have you cleared out the Alliance Base, Sir?" "Yes, and good on you for calling right when I told you. I told you that it wouldn't take more then 5 minutes at most." "Yeah, yeah, you can brag about it at the lunch I now have to by you. Stand-by while our mages get a lock on your position to teleport you back." "Watch the tone, Jason. Remember, you speak to me with respect or suffer the consequences." "Y-yes sir, understood." A figure chuckled as he put away his communicator, turning around to look at the building he'd just exited. It was a rather average looking outpost on the outside, but inside was a rather elaborate and state of the art facility that the Alliance ahd been using to keep tabs on the local opposition, some terrorist group of little importance that had apparently hd such trouble that they had sent a representative to his underworld contacts in order to hire his company's services. Given the nature of the contract and the need to keep things very, very quiet, he'd taken the job himself. It was rather simple to take out the people stationed here once he had completely dismantled their automated defenses and communications with an EMP pulse. Then it was only a matter of methodically taking out every person within the facility. Every person was killed quickly with either a knife or a bullet, not wanting to leave too much of a trace of what kind of Esper had done this. Still, he'd expected a bit more of a challenge from the whole thing. Overall, it was much, much too easy, made him wonder why the Terrorist cell even bothered to pay so much to take it out. Whatever the case, it wasn't his problem and, as he felt the slight tug of the teleportation magic take hold of him, he pressed a button on the inside of his coat jacket before he was sent away. Seconds later, the entire building would be blown to smithereens from the many, many explosives that he had littered the place with. With no survivors, no surveillance tapes, and now not even a smidgen of usable evidence, it be nearly impossible for anyone to know how the base was taken out. Whether the base's destruction would do anything to change the balance of power in the region, however, was something to be seen in the future, and if it did, it could mean more work for his company in the future, so whatever the case, it was a win-win for him.
As the fight was halted and uniforms, a rather unassuming boy was watching the whole thing in a rather nervous manner. He was a rather plain-looking sort, with black hair, an average face, and no real definitive quirks to speak of, unlike a few of his classmates. However, one would notice that his gaze had been fixated on their teacher for sometime, but nearly all would write that off as a the beginning of a crush upon the beautiful young teacher, or perhaps even a bit of fearful/starstruck nature at being in the presence of an honest-to-god Level 10. The truth, however, was something much interesting. From a secret location, a man was looking through the boy's eyes via a bond of corruption that ran through his blood. Before meeting him, the boy was a rather weak and unimpressive Telekinetic, barely able to lift or bend utensils. After being reborn through the corruption, however, his powers had been greatly improved, to a point where it was almost scary. And to see the height of what his powers could accomplish, he could only imagine what his leader could do with that kind of power. The man to was wondering this, though he had suffered a more hands on account of that power. Tendou-san, how long do I have to be here again? I'm always willing to serve but . . . but what if they find me out? Don't worry, my vassal, just keep calm and observe. The chance of them finding out is very low, and even if they do, do you thing I'd let them lay a single finger on you and get away with it. You're apart of my family, and I'll defend just as fiercely as another. Now just relax and observe. I need to know if this woman has any weaknesses that I can exploit. Detestable as it is, she's a large obstacle in my way to Adam Pride and a need to know of ways to take her down, at least to a point where I can reason with her from a position of strength. The boy gave his response, as well as a report of what he'd been able to gather. It seemed that the boy was indeed quite taken with the young teacher, but he assured his leader that it wouldn't be a problem if the time came for it. An assurance that the man had absolute faith would be followed through. Through their connection, they were family, and every had an inkling of what the other was thinking or feeling, and this openness lead to a desire to protect each other that was greater and stronger than any bond of patriotism or nationalism, as everyone of them was willing to die or become devils for the sake of their brothers and sisters. Meanwhile, in his facility deep in the earth, the man would frown, his thoughts still focused on the Level 10 thorn in his side. The other two who had been with her, a fire mage and Cryo-kinetic respectively, when he had taken up the persona of Earth, were hardly a problem for him to deal with, and easily countered, but that Kotori was a very challenging foe. While he had ways to avoid her telekinetic grip, she could cause all kinds of problems with the level of control she could enforce on the building blocks of the universe, and she's only been Level 10 for a short time. The longer it took to come up with a solution, the stronger she would get and the less likely he'd be at enacting his revenge upon this city and the man in control of it all. Just the thought of that man, drew up a rather sinister look upon his face, as his hands curled up into fists from where he was sitting, before letting out a sigh. Rising from his seat, the man would walk out of his observation room which was completely sparse of decoration besides a chair to help him focus. Running a hand through his raven black hair, the man would open the door and step out into the rest of his base, mind already shifting to the coming preparations for their next attack against the corruption that infested Pyramid city.
Looking down on the class from a roof up above was a lone figure, a man in a black trench coat with a walking cane in hand, the tip being that of a golden skull with a black diamond placed in it's mouth. The man's hazel eyes would glow gold for a second as he focused his energies upon a singular person in the group, the Silver clay user, but upon sensing this magical presence and turning to investigate it, the boy would see nothing. However, by his foot, he'd notice a small nugget of gold that seemed to have popped up from the very dirt, only to disperse into dust as soon as it was percieved by the young man.
