He has one small scar on his left calf and a tattoo of his wife's name "Madison" on his right arm from when he was in college.

Born in Oregon, Adam was the only child in his family and lived a pretty normal childhood. His parents were supportive of him and did their best to make sure that he had a good childhood. Adam wasn't awful at school, but his grades weren't good enough to get him scholarships to college so he had to go to a community college. This is where he met his wife Madison, they were in an english class together and they would often exchange notes with each other or work on projects together. As time went on Adam and Madison started dating and Adam decided that he wanted to pursue a career in the culinary field and he eventually was able to transfer to a culinary school. He graduated as one of the top 25 students in his school and became a bagane hopping around restaurants trying to find the right place for him. Over the years of him doing this he asked Madison to marry him. Then he finally found the right job for him, although he had to move to minnesota for the job, they helped cover some of the expenses and guaranteed him the job. Madison moved with him and by the age of 27 Adam and Madison had a child that they named Kennedy. 7 years have passed since then and there hasn't been much to tell... That is until the outbreak. Adam and his family had no idea that it was coming and they payed the price for it. One evening, Adam, Madison, and Kennedy were out at a restaurant when a very pale man stumbled in right as they were leaving. Madison saw that he was struggling to walk so she asked Kennedy to help walk the man over to a seat. That was their first and last mistake. A few moments later Adam heard a shriek as he turned and saw the man biting into Madison's neck, then quickly pulling away and sinking his teeth into Kennedy. They both fell to the ground as all of the occupants that were able to see the event unfold began to panic and run out of the restaurant, dragging adam with them. As the crowd cleared out Adam saw something that shocked him. Madison and Kennedy were just standing inside.. But unlike before, they had the same pale skin tone as the man, and their necks were oozing with blood. As Adam was slowly walking back towards them he got shoved away by a police officer who then headed in to investigate. As he got close to Madison she grappled him and took a chunk out of his neck. The officer's partner then shot Madison, Kenney and the man out of fear and panic right in front of Adam's eyes. In shock, Adam ran to his car and started driving. As he started the car he heard an emergency broadcast over the radio which told him to get away from heavily populated areas due to some epidemic that was starting to spread. In the heat of the moment, Adam rushed home, grabbed supplies and drove out of town as fast as he could. He drove for what seemed like years until he finally stumbled upon (insert starting place of story here.)

Due to his background with cooking, Adam can make a meal with limited supplies. 
Due to raising a kid and being a chef, Adam is good at talking to people and normally has a cool head. Also due to raising a kid, Adam has learned to be very patient.
Knows which parts of most animals is safe to eat and how to disassemble them and cook them.

No combat experience. Adam has never had the need to shoot a gun or use a knife or weapon on a person. 
Doesn't know too much about survival or what to do in a situation like this.

While it's not a secret or hidden agenda, it is a big part of Adam's character and development. Adam is suffering from grief due to the loss of his Wife and child. This will influence Adam's actions and make him not always think straight, this could lead to bad decisions if he has no one to help set his mind straight.
