Alexis was out scavenging around Eatonville west of Mt Rainier using a trick she learned in the first days of the outbreak , by making a "bath" in zombie blood you become invisible to the dead as long as it doesn't rain. Alexis was trying to find other survivors but so far she had no luck , something she learned in the army is that there is strength in number and she had to find someone else. 
As she returned from the scavenge hunt and to her small safe house , she heard a screeching noise. " [color=red] The radio ! The damn thing works ! [/color] " she said to herself. Alexis quickly ran towards the radio and heard a man talking :

" 'This is a Broadcast sent over all frequencies, if anyone is out there, if anyone is still alive you don't have to survive alone we a safe haven located in Centralia, Washington. I repeat we have a safe haven, If anyone is out there we are located in Centralia if you can here you are welcome to join.' " 

" [color=red] That's it ! People ! [/color] " she yelled. 
Alexis quickly gathered all the food she had and some other cloths she had and left towards Centralia. As soon as she exited her "house" she saw a big horde of zombies coming towards the safe house. " [color=red] Nice...this wouldn't have been a safe house for long. Well...at least I'll have some companions on the road to Centralia [/color] ". She found a lone zombie and quickly dispatched him with a knife in the head and soon started opening him up and making "bath" in his guts. 

Alexis was covered in blood and guts by the time the horde came , she approached them and continued moving with them towards Centralia.
