At the very moment Jes had indicated for Jaina to sit next to her, she had practically jumped into the chair, more than disappointed that it didn't spin. Her clothing, a customized garment filled with colorful strips, always was so pretty when she spun. Sometimes, Jaina realized that she had great potential for a circus. She closed her eyes, imagining the wind rushing through her hair as she jumped from place to place, instead hearing Kordath enter. She didn't need to open her eyes to know it was him, it was part of her job, guessing the height and weight based off of the sound of mere steps. Jaina's eyes opened wide at Jes' offer. Squealing eagerly, she almost tackled the Commodore with a hug, before freezing. She remembered, very distinctly, that imperial code didn't involve so much hugging. She twitched a bit, as a memory tried to push itself to the surface, and her breathing spread up slightly. Pulling at her hair, Jaina frantically thought of the funniest thing she could, something to regain her mirth. "Why did the Sith cross the road?" Jaina finally squeaked. "...to get to the dark side!" She threw her head back, giggling and laughing, almost painfully. By the time she wiped away the few tears caused by her joy, she saw Morgbra had come inside, sitting down at the table. "It's the cheerleader! Morg, did'ya know the doctor is....wait for it....dead?! Isn't that fucking fantastic news?!"

Sutton Corandel

Location: Main Hold; The Raven

Sutton nodded at Luke's assertion about Tatooine. It wasn't the type of place for someone as respectable as the Senator, though even Sutton thought that with a grain of salt. She knew how politicians were. They were all the same in the end, and eventually, they'd be the next force they'd have to rebel against. Was it a cynical perspective? Extremely. She tried instead to focus on the mystery of the sands, of all of the enigmas and riddles that were deeper than the sands, even. "You'll blend in quite well with the scum, Captain," Sutton teased, a bright grin on her face. That was how the pair of them met, after all. He'd gotten into a bar brawl, imperials had been present, and she saved his ass. Luke was likely the only person on the ship who knew about Sutton's past, about the secrets she kept for her mother's sake. "How long do we expect to be on Tatooine, sir?" She knew that, in order to appear like nothing about this planet bothered her, she'd have to pull her usual shenanigans of getting leave to go off and explore with Matthew. Truthfully, though, Sutton didn't want to be on Tatooine a minute longer than she had to. "I have to say, Captain....I've got a bad feeling about this." She glanced around uneasily, her smile gone, unaware that she'd uttered those famous words, repeated so often throughout the galaxy.
