Jing-Que Xue
Name: Jing-Que Xue Nickname: Jing Age: 17 Race: Human Appearance:

Her hair is a deep red colour and her eyes are a simple brown. She is exceptionally tall, to the point that the average man would be short in comparison. It can be plainly seen that she uses a lot of products on her face, and she always appears to be immaculately dressed, no matter the occasion. Personality: Jing-Que was born and raised a noble lady, and her upbringing shows clearly. She is polite and formal to a fault, and always carries herself with a stiff upper lip. It is rare to see her exhibit strong emotions in a casual setting. In conversation, she is usually seen to be going through the motions, saying banal things like “How are you?”, “The weather is nice today” and so forth, at least with a relative stranger. With someone she knows better, she does open up a bit more, though she never entirely drops the formal act. The strangest thing about Jing is her unhealthy interest in combat. She isn’t interested in technical talk about weapons and tactics and such, but she certainly has an all too apparent obsession with fighting and hurting an opponent. She tends to be experimental with her attacks in an almost cruel fashion, especially with non-humanoid enemies, solely for the purpose of eliciting unique reactions. She is not at all bashful about being interested in dissecting creatures such as Grimm. She tends to look into subjects that help her pursue this bizarre hobby of hers; biology, anatomy, even physics if she thinks it will lead to something intriguing. While her investment in such things is weird to say the least, Jing is not in fact an evil person by any means. When confronted with a humanoid opponent, she tends to reign in her impulses, though she doesn’t always have the best control of them. History: Born in the lap of luxury to an old family in Vale, Jing-Que was born on the assumption she would grow up to be a proper lady. As a very traditional family, the Xue household didn’t tend to place weapons in the hands of their girls. For many years, Jing never saw a lick of violence and never expected to do so. However, she one day observed her father practising his swordplay and asked if she could try it out. In spite of their traditional leanings, her father didn’t see any harm in letting her play around with some practise weapons for a little bit, and so let her have a try. That day was the day of his biggest regret. The moment Jing got her hands of a weapon, even though it was just a piece of wood, something awoke in her that would plague the family for some time to come. Enamoured with the idea of fighting, Jing continued to practise with weaponry. She even began to skip out on other lessons just to keep swinging a sword. Eventually, she asked if she could face her eldest brother in a sparring match. More amused than concerned at this point, both father and brother agreed to the match. The amusement disappeared when Jing handily defeated her brother. But it wasn’t enough for her to manage one victory. Since then, she started challenging all kinds of people around the Xue household to fights. In her enthusiasm, she ended up injuring many junior members of the household guard. She began to terrify her own family with how invested she was in fighting. When her semblance was discovered, her father immediately worried she might use it on the wrong person. It was here that she was ushered into the academy program, where they hoped she could channel her bloodlust into a better cause. While she knew her family was trying to get rid of her in part, Jing was more than eager to pursue a career as a huntress, content to fight creatures that nobody would cry over when she cut them into pieces. Weapon: -Dadao

A simplistic broadsword in a traditional style that is the weapon of choice for Jing. Something that Jing took with her from home, it possesses no special qualities other than being a good, solid blade. -Pistol

A pistol bought for Jing for her career as a huntress. Lacking in alternative ranged capabilities, this sidearm is what Jing pulls out when she needs to fight at a distance. Semblance: Serration – This semblance allows Jing to apply a serrated, saw like edge to her weaponry. This has the effect of magnifying the cutting potential of whatever she applies it to, allowing her to cut through multiple enemies with ease. She can also apply this effect to individual bullets fired from her gun, effectively giving them an armour piercing quality. Other: She is partial to a good, meaty steak.
