Rosa
Though her interest was seemingly on the unknown and gastly, Rosa was indeed paying attention to the Professor. Her entire speech about her reason for being in Unova, her purpose and reason as to why they had been brought there, all of it stuck in the absentminded girl’s head. So they were to help her in her research while she did the mundane tasks that the normal professor would do? What exactly did that entail if her focus was on the human aspect pokemon themselves had? Rosa wasn’t knowledgable at all in the professor’s research nor pokemon research at all really so, if her mission was to gather data like some scientist work for the professor’s around the regions, she’d likely be as good as useless. The young girl watched in silence as the others opened their pokeballs to receive their pokemon, with the exception of those who already had pokemon that is. First was one of the boys, he hadn’t said a word since she arrived and it seemed that he had possibly made signs with his hands earlier to speak. Rosa didn’t know what to make of him nor did she really understand him when he was signing either, though her attention had been on the gastly and unknown at the time. She was amazed when the pokeball he opened released a ralts, she had never seen one before and was so excited at how cute the little baby pokemon was. Her hand drifted to her pencil and notebook as she watched the two. The temptation to draw was strong but she simply watched as another boy opened his pokeball to reveal a small axew. The dragon type was near irresistible to the now excited and, coincidentally, sketching Rosa. Her hands moved with precision as she drew the sight of the axew and ralts, hardly paying attention as the professor’s helper named Lynda chose her pokemon. When the small, albeit seemingly quiet totodile looked at Lynda, Rosa was still finishing up drawing ralts and his owner. It wasn’t until the other girl opened her pokeball and tried speaking. In fact, it was the blown raspberry which attracted Rosa’s attention to the small poliwag staring at its now owner. She quickly drew the totodile and poliwag, not noticing that her turn had come until she finished the poliwag with its tongue stuck out. ”Oh, uh sorry. I guess it is my turn. Sorry again,” She barely sputtered out as she reached for the pokeball and pressed the small button in the center. The bright light and flash burst out of the ball as it popped open and, once all was done and said for, a small round yet blue orb with a small face and some flippers stared at Rosa curiously. She and the spheal watched each other with equal wonder until the spheal happily clapped at her causing her to squeal with delight as she picked it up and twirled around. ”Well, aren’t you a little cutie. A spheal, my parents took a picture of a few of you guys while I was away. I never imagined I’d meet an actual one though!” The spehal once again clapped happily and Rose held it tightly against herself with joy.
