hmm... minor thought on minor potential change... What do you others think of the idea?

Rename the Character sheets section to Character sheets & Lore

Seeing how topics have a CS tab already, that section is technically only used by people who keep copies of their sheets outside the RP threads. Mixing in lore will formalize what many RPs use it for already.

While I can agree that it's a good idea, I'm not sure if it'll just become a section to throw in all the additional details willy-nilly. The Char Tab creates the impression that it's just for characters, so people post them up and it's usually only the GM that may post extra stuff.

We're not referring to altering the CS tab of RP topics, @NuttsnBolts. Only the forum section called "character sheets".

Granted, having a lore tab wouldn't hurt, but that's a much bigger change, requiring considerably more tweaking to do right.

People are already sticking lore there.

I believe that tabs should be customizable up to a hard limit. That way, there isn't a need for ambiguity in what they may or may not be used for. Either way, adding a tab for every potential need will become quickly cluttered and difficult to use, so everyone should be wary.

Aye. Customizable tabs would be optimal. As would tabs for threads outside RP sections, like for large RPs with complex worlds and lots of lore. Also customizable, of course.

Hard upper limit is also necessary. If an RP needs more, then those can be put elsewhere.

i'm having a bit of a issue trying to put images into my posts to people. i use the and put the url between but it just shows up as a box and the people i'm discussing with cant see the image either. am i doing something wrong?

Yes. You need to assure that the URL you link to contains nothing but an image; in most cases it will hold an extension such as ".png" or ".jpg" or even ".gif" but in rare cases it will be nothing but a string of characters (use Preview to see if it worked). For instance, I can go onto Google images and right click an image to get its URL and paste that into the IMG tags like so:

To end these spambots I suggest a bot detector when signing up an account here. Like one of those hard to see photos with numbers you have to put in. Sorry if you already have this.

You are referring to CAPTCHA, which is already implemented on the Guild. It is rather ineffective.

@Mahz Would like to notify you the VM system is still very bad with chronological order of the VM posts. Pointed this out earlier, you opened a ticket, just wondered if you looked into that.

Besides that I wanted to suggest a sort of table system allowing us to make tables - much like lists, I suppose. It's currently a bit hard to organize things in understandable ways without tables in some situations, requiring either a lengthy explanation or otherwise, making an excel table, screenshotting it and posted the screenshot.

Low on the priority table I assume, but it's still a nice feature I think.

Make it possible to hide certain statuses of people you disagree with? There's a lot of angst in the status bar recently, including it being from me, but it'd just be a nice feature.

We are not currently aware of the work currently being done on Guild features or Mahz's current location in cyberspace (he's very busy), but we'll be sure to let him know when he returns to add new features.

Maybe instead of captcha have a different tab above the rp sections. But in the same grouping labeled like.
Roleplays for bots. That is just to catch bots. So that they spam there and can easily be found and deleted.

I'm not familiar with how bots work but they seem to just pick the first tab they see to post in.

I'm still here. I check up on the Guild every couple days to see if there are any major performance issues or outages.

Right now I'm focused on some (non-Guild-related) money-making endeavors which is where all of my coding energy is being funneled.

I figure I'll spend one more year in Mexico with my head down pumping out projects til one sticks. If not, I guess I'll head back to the States for a real job.
