Three teams were made. One ground, one on the Monroe and one on standby for distraction.
They were on an icy planet that seemed empty up until out local research scientist wanted some genetic material from one of the eggs in a found nest. Gaint ice bird was unhappy and attacked ground team. Cassie went to distract so the others could get to shuttle. Rae shot the bird in the eye with an arrow and Raymond punched it in the face before they all tried to escape. Talley was chased by chicken monkey creatures.
They all made it to the shuttle while Cassie throughly distracted the bird but at the loss of her own life. The Captain then gave orders to attack the hostile bird which was taken care of. Not death but taken care of.

That is kind of where we are at with everyone on the ship and headed for the Spire now.
