[center][h1] THE EARTHQUAKE [/h1][/center]

Nikki was walking to the bathroom when the ground started to shake. The lights flickered on and off and the cement started to crack in places and water pipes broke. People were screaming and falling down. Ingrid grabbed her arm and stood her in a doorway. The shaking stopped a couple of minutes later but it felt like an eternity.

[color=f49ac2]"MAAATT! We've got pipes spraying water everywhere! "[/color] Nikki told Ingrid to check on Kat and she went towards the gas pipes. If those were broken and there were any sparks this would blow the damn building up.

Darius had to bash his way through the door outside. Car alarms were going off and there were cracks in the parking lot. Nikki got to the kitchen and saw the fire. The kitchen was on fire. She grabbed the fire extinguisher and ran inside.

Kyle was walking perimeter when the ground itself started to shake. Kyle held his weapon tightly in his hand, and centered himself. He kept his cool, and started to watch his surroundings even more. Just because he was startled, it didnt mean walkers were. After a bit of time, the shaking stopped. Kyle ran towards the school, past the front gates and through the hallways. Kyle saw the destruction the shaking caused, and while the damage was minimal he feared for Nikki. He ran towards the closest person, asking if they had seen Nikki. When they said they didnt know, Kyle ran to the next person, then the next, then the next. No one had seen her. Kyle ran to their room, only to find it empty. Kyler ran down the halls shouting.

[color=0054a6]"Nikki! Nikki!"[/color]

Nikki had crawled behind the oven and shut the gas in the kitchen off. She had already put out the small fire.  She went towards the cafeteria doors when the first of several aftershocks hit and this one was bigger than the original quake. Nikki guessed the original was at least a 6.0 and this one was worse. She grabbed her walkie. [color=f49ac2]"Everyone get to the cafeteria asap and get under the tables. NO ONE stays upstairs. If you need help yell!" [/color]Nikki propped up the door and she went to help get Kat and the baby down. She heard Kyle yelling her name and she waved him down and she kissed him. 

[color=f49ac2]"We've got to get Kat and Gracie. I sent Ingrid up to get her."[/color] Nikki grabbed onto the wall and watched as the ground inside the school started to crack. [color=f49ac2]"If today is the day that California falls into the ocean then I hope you can swim babe!"[/color]

[color=0054a6]"The only thing to come from Cali is that pot was made legal, I swear to God."[/color]

Kyle grabbed the wall as well, and stared Nikki in her eyes.

[color=0054a6]"Did I ever tell you I was born in Texas, and there are ZERO earthquakes there!"[/color]

[color=f49ac2]"They get them everywhere, just rarely in Texas. Right now we need to get everyone down here and not get swallowed up if the building starts to collapse. I'll be right back!"[/color] Nikki ran upstairs to the third floor and opened the door to get the weapons that she had stashed up there. She jumped stairs on the way down stabbing walkers as she went. there were a few of them in the building.

She got on the walkie [color=f49ac2]"THERE ARE WALKERS IN THE BUILDING REPEAT THERE ARE WALKERS IN THE BUILDING ON THE RESIDENCE END."[/color] Nikki got back and ran for her sword.
