Oh shit, PoW is't dying?

Well the War in Africa thing is an iffy thing. Right now Vilage it seems wants to put more creative energy in novelizing PoW so I don't know if he can do anything in the RP thread here or if he's up to it; which makes things more complicated since he inherited Spain from Googer with my blessing and is now running both sides of the conflict.

I'd volunteer for Spain (just like in the civil war xD), but I'd need to brush up on their lore and even then I'm not certain the quality of my writing is up to par for that.

It does seem rather odd to novelize a story that really isn't complete.

Alternatively, I'd play as Volgograd or something, go super Ukrainian-nationalist, and fight Polkraine for my land back, but that'd probably involve Prussia and counting on Hugs to post is something else entirely.

But I'll ask Vilage about the war if I see him on Steam.

The thing with Spain is that it's so old and important to the story I only trust it to someone whose been involved for as long and is at least as reliable. Sorry to say but the long absence you exhibited before announcing your original retirement doesn't really mark you as a good candidate for Spain. Likewise, Vilage has adopted the Volga Confederacy in part for one of his story arcs so they're not up for grabs.

We would rather like you to stay as Brazil. You made your bed there, so sleep in it. Finding fresh pastures isn't going to imply fresh opportunities for story-telling.

Of course, I'd expect as much. I only considered something around Russia because I've developed a lot more knowledge of Russian culture and history (as a Russian major that makes sense), so it would perhaps be easier to write from the perspective of.

That being said, the volunteer idea seems just as interesting, provided I could properly involve myself.

I'm also curious if that HOI4 Precipice mod ever was brought to a state of semi-completion.


We're still working on it. Right now I have a form with the countries having proper names, borders, and 1/3 of the correct leaders. Me and Wilted haven't combined out 2 halves yet since she's been unavailable for a little while, though. Also. Making portraits for every leader, as well as generic alternate portraits for misc countries and leaders of other factions is taking a while. I'm about ready to just draw them in the Chapel Portrait style to save time.

That's really cool. I hope you guys manage to finish it. I assume it's just a change to the countries, leaders and political parties, no adjustment to gameplay or anything like that?

I mean, vanilla national focuses would be very strange in a PoW context, so I guess you would either have to change those or give everyone the generic ones to make sense.

Okay, so fun facts: I'm starting to play with novelizing PoW.

I've written a thing.

And had some people look at it.

This is just the start of the process. If anybody wants to get in on it, we should probably talk how that would look. @Pepperm1nts, @Dinh AaronMk, and @gorgenmast

It does seem rather odd to novelize a story that really isn't complete.


RP is moving deadly slow right now. If I waited for others to post before posting, nothing would get done. But if I used my place as, like, half the world right now, I'd just be writing back and forth to myself a lot as if I were writing the end of a book, so I might as well start back at the beginning and do this shit properly.

Also, to bookify this, a lot of shit has to be changed. Most of PoW is NRP style meetings, pure world building with no story, or of dubious relevance. Not to mention the history is really shaky at best. All these things have to be solved, and the fat cut, so that beginning at the beginning makes it easier to get the story right.

And Also Also, fuck it, RP is little leagues now, I want to advance to the next level.
