"I would be lieing to you if I said I wasn't use to the nauseating smell of cleaning supplies and multiple other chemicals in which humans use to cleanse themselves with to hide the dirt on their conscious. I guess in the long run I have been around too long in this world, some things change but most things stay the same." Rohar looked up at the sky silently as he could see the sparkles of stars, sniffing silently his nose was still filled with the nauseating smell of chlorine and bleach. Hospitals... he hated being in them more then he hated being inside of a landfill, and that was a long story all on its own. Looking sideways the man was looking at him with questioning eye's, with another sniff Rohar got a good whiff of a rather familiar scent, he had not noticed it before amidst the blood and smell of burnt flesh and the human cleaning chemicals. "I bet life was rather tough for you considering what you are, I did not notice it before, but now that were in the fresh air again your smell is unmistakable. If I had to guess I would say that you were cast from your pack soon as they found you had turned into something more then just a Wolf. Its sort of ironic isn't it? We as Werewolves often preach about family and blood, it being thicker then all else, yet one little thing can be more then enough to force you into exile." Rohar laughed lowly to himself, not in a funny sort of way but more of a pitiful sort of way as he looked at the man. He did not know him but he felt like he had more in common with a stranger then he did most of his own kind. He had the same look one had when they had been alive too long and fate had not been so kind. That or maybe his brothers wisdom talk was addling his brain and making him feel like there was a connection when there wasn't one. "My twin brothers a Vampire, so I know the feeling of your own kind turning on you better then most do. Its just ironic how that one little thing I mentioned can change everything. I use to know the feeling of running with hundreds of my kind, we hunted together, lived and died together, went through hell together... and in the end it all amounted to nothing, all because of one little thing... either way they are dead now and the past is the past. Forgive me I am old and the memories seem to haunt me more now then they used to, my brother Dantis often tells me to use my brain more then my brawn, but I find it easier to just not to think of the past. I don't want anything of you my brother, I just wished to know you were safe, even removed from my pack I still have a undieing need to ensure any of my kin remain safe. One of the things that never change. Rohar turned his attention from the Werewolf and walked a short distance before stopping turning he looked back one more time knowing his kin was safe and sound and that was good enough for him. He could conclude his business and return to his brothers side now. He was relieved in a many ways. "She is beautiful by the way, it is a pity that she had to come to harm, I don't know of what happened to her or you but I gather it involved that fleeing vampire whom appeared shortly before you did. I am not the smartest in the world, that is what my brother is for, but even someone like me even from such a short time can see your feelings for that woman... such a thing is not meant to last in my eye's... but I hope for you that it does, keep her safe brother, there is enough turmoil in this world. My name is Rohar, and know that if the need is greatest I will help you all you need do is ask." Rohar jumped from the spot finishing talking and landed a short distance away with a thud, going into a full sprint he disappeared around a corner and was gone. __________________________________________________________________________________________ "Your out of your damn mind old man, there is not enough money in this world to make me accept such an contract, I would not risk anything in the world for such a job." Dantis sat silently within the rather furnished office of his associate, an older human male who looked like he had been through hell more then once, and seeming he was a retired hunter from the dark ages the guess probably wasn't that far off from the truth. Dantis face was in a rather half amused and half serious look as he started the old man down. "Think about it Dantis, this is the opportunity of a life time, I am willing to offer you millions to do this one job. You and your brother would be set for hundreds of years to come, you could practically retire from the mercenary business and live secluded somewhere far away from others as you have always desired, safe from the horrors of this world. "But at what cost? This is no simple job your offering me and my brother, it is a death sentence. We have taken down some of the worst of the worst in both the vampire and the werewolf cultures. We have fought side by side in two different wars involving both our kins, were decorated leaders on our respective sides... but not in a million years passed would I ever accept this mission even if it did give me the chance to leave this mercenary life style for good. This foe is beyond all others, this is true evil not just some murdering lunatic, or some new blood on a frenzy. An you better then anyone would know that... besides no one has even heard or seen him in years, for all anyone knows he is gone for good." "Wishful thinking but my sources inform me that he is back, I can feel a darkness in the air Dantis, just like all the times before and I have a feeling its going to be worse this time for everyone. The blood moon is already nearing and with it brings a terrible omen, who better to end this threat once and for all then you and Rohar?" Dantis stood up shaking his head, turning from the old man he refused to hear anymore of this crazy offer, walking to the door he placed his hand on the knob with the intention to leave but the next words spoke stopped him from leaving, rather froze him in his tracks. "If money does not interest you alone, then how bout immortality for your brother?" Dantis slowly turned his attention back to the man with questioning eye's, there was no lie or it seemed like no lie in the mans eye's. "Lets face it Dantis, I have known you for a long time and Rohar is your Achilles heel its not hard to see. As much as it pains you, your brother is not immortal like you and one day will die like all his kind does if it be by natural causes or not. Seeming he refuses to become a vampire to spare him from that mortality, it is a reality you will face in time. Its not that you fear this contract for your own life, but rather for his. But I could offer you an alternative, a spell ancient like time itself that will give him lasting life just like a vampire without having to become one." Dantis slowly returned to the chair against his better judgement and sat down silently looking hard at the old man, his face was contorted in subtle anger from the topic brought up. He did not like to think of the time when his brothers death would become a very real possibility. It was the only thing in this world that truly frightened him, knowing that when it came he would be alone and there was nothing he could do to change that. "How?" "The spell dates back to the beginning of time, it is the only know spell to be known this far into the civilized world. It can give whoever it is cast upon eternal life beyond life without ever becoming undead. Unfortunately it requires something, something that one can not so easily get to complete it. Long ago there was one man who became a vampire, it was said that he was the first vampire to ever exist, he was not bitten but he was turned by the devil himself, as punishment for sins he could not avoid, the ultimate sin. He drink from a well of evil that transformed him into the evil of all evil, and in doing so this spell became reality, the well of evil that transformed him is the same well that flows through his veins, the only known actual spring of everlasting life. His blood holds the key to true immortality." "Blood, the spell requires his blood to work?" Dantis stood up silently with a downtrodden look on his face, walking to the door he placed his hand on it intent to leave without saying a word, but his brothers face came into his mind. Images of him dead and buried seemed to play through as he swallowed a bit harder then intended. "He is pure evil, it is said he can't die, that he has powers beyond that of any other vampire. He is eternal and no one alive has ever layed eye's upon him and lived to tell of it. I do not wish for my brother to die, and I would rather spend what time I have left with him as apposed to possibly losing him now, but in my heart I know that when that day comes I will die with him because there is nothing left in this world for me when he is gone." Dantis closed his eye's and sighed heavily knowing what he was about to say would probably be the end of him and his brother, but the reward if they succeeded was beyond money and power, it was a chance to keep his brother with him for the rest of all time. Dantis turned and faced the old man with a grim but determined look. "The money and the spell that is my fee, give me the power to keep my brother alive forever and money so we can leave this hell and live in peace and Ill do it... I will hunt down Dracula... and kill him." [@Wick][@blackpanther]
