It performs much better in close-to-medium range combat than its standard version, but is also less accurate at longer ranges. [*]M6C SOCOM: A silenced version of the M6C pistol, it sees wide use among ODST’s. This particular unit is unique in that it has been upscaled for use by a Spartan. On one side of the weapon, the word “Equalizer” has been crudely carved into it. On the other, a mathematical “equal sign” has been painted in blue. ”Covie, human, rich, poor, weak, strong, it doesn’t matter. They’re all equally fucked when they’re looking down the barrel of a gun.”
Spartan Armour Ability: Hologram Bio: Edward was born into a Military family. Born on Edridanus II (though, after Eridanus II was glassed, he moved to Ballast, where he grew up), his grandfather was one of Robert Watts’ rebels (though, when it became clear that Watts was going to lose, he switched sides to the CMA before it was disbanded) and his father was an Ensign serving under Admiral Cole, and who was presumed to have died along with him. As he grew up, he saw his older brothers one by one join the UNSC. Despite having stellar grades in high school, and a future in medicine, it was almost expected of him to enlist at 18. So, he did. He was a marine for some time, and served in six different combat operations before being given the option to join the ODST’s. He did so, and passed through training at a blinding pace. His first drop went exceedingly well. His second drop, though, was a disaster. His pod was heavily damaged by covenant anti-air fire, and he crashed into a large body of water. He was found after the battle, mangled and damn-near dead. His comrades were going to leave him behind, as was the custom, but an ONI officer among them saw an ideal candidate for the Spartan Program. He brought to Earth and saved with experimental medical techniques. In return for this, it was made clear that he was to undergo augmentation and become a Spartan. He did so, knowing full well he didn’t have a choice. By the time he had healed and finished his training/augmentation, the Human-Covenant War was over, and he was assigned to the Infinity. He’s served in a few combat operations since then, but has only recently gotten assigned to full active duty. Other: Though he lived on Eridanus II for less than a year, and hasn’t stepped foot there since it was reclaimed, he still considers it him home planet and has immense pride in his Outer-Colony heritage.
