Ava Chaelamin
Ava coughed some more as her stomach was hit again, she didn’t understand why this was happening to her, she always tried to be nice to everyone and whilst she knew that not everyone was kind nor was she entitled to receive the same treatment in return just because she was kind to everyone else, she couldn’t see how this was fair to her. Her thoughts were broken as another hit went to her stomach, this one making her vision go out of focus, she was sure that a few more of those and she’d be unconscious soon. She was already struggling to stay conscious and saw the leader ready to punch her again, Well...I guess no one’s coming, She thought to herself as her head drooped down, ready to accept the final punch that would no doubt knock her unconscious until she heard someone call out to the three men that had her. She looked up to see an elf woman approach them, Ava wanted to tell her to run, but she was too weak from the relentless assault to say anything other than a barely audible groan. Ava fell to the ground when the man holding her was hit with water magic, feeling incredibly weak from what had happened moments earlier. She looked up when she heard a voice, seeing Terrin she tried to get up and run but was still feeling weak and collapsed again when she tried getting up. Ava was grateful when Terrin helped her up, she still was a little dazed as to what was entirely happening, but she knew she was at least being helped and that she was happy about. She was surprised to see another person helping her against the men that just tried capturing her, but it was clear that she was trying to help, especially when the elf gave her some money for the inn. ”Thank you.” Was all she said in a slightly hoarse voice, holding her stomach as she edged toward the inn. Ava stopped as she felt pain in her stomach, she decided to take a short break, to at least allow herself to catch her breath. As she did so, she watched both Terrin and the new elf engage the three men in combat, she was actually impressed with how easy it was for them to fight, she couldn’t do that, even when she had ‘attacked’ them, it wasn’t anything direct. She didn’t wish to be useless like she had just been, but at the same time, even now, she couldn’t bring herself to harm another being, perhaps she was being the bigger person, or foolishly naive, either way, she knew she needed to find a way to make a compromise for both, otherwise, what if the roles became switched and she had to save Terrin? What would she do then? Her thoughts were broken when the sound of the fighting got her attention again, it looked like it was wrapping up, two of the men that had her were down and the leader was running away, she felt like she could finally relax, well that was until the man had been thrown around and then Terrin began killing him. Please...don’t, She thought to herself, ready to run up and say something but then the woman who helped her spoke up, saying what Ava had been thinking; she decided to finally head to the inn, a bit of rest would do her some good, then she’d be able to take care of her injury afterward. Once Ava made it to the inn, she sat down on a nearby couch, placing her hand on her sore stomach; it felt nice to just relax for a few seconds, after all that had happened, it was a welcome reprieve. She soon got up, remembering she had to get a room and then went over to the inn keeper, paying for a room and was ready to receive her key when she heard Terrin whisper in her ear. She glanced back at him and nodded, she did want to stay in the room she just paid for, but knew that Terrin was right, it was too dangerous for them to stay in the same town as the men who attacked her. She quickly moved with him when he grabbed her hand, taking notice of the woman who had helped her when Terrin paid her back the money that she gave Ava. ”Yeah, I’m okay, thank you for your help," She said and then looked to Terrin, ”Thank you as well, I’m sorry that I caused you trouble, just...that man said he could help me find my parents, but I guess that wasn't the case, huh?” She lowered her head slightly, soon taking notice that his cloak was still tied to her, she began to untie it, ready to hand it back to him, ”Guess I should give this back to you,” said Ava as she gave a feign smile to him, beginning to debate in her head if she should stay with him or not, she didn’t want to be a problem for him or anyone else they may encounter along the way.
