Gredy Silvertongue- Veridian City With a deep breath in order to help calm his nerves Gredy stepped out of the Pokecenter and into the sunlight with a brand new backpack on his back, pokedex in his pocket as he took the first step on his brand new life as a pokemon trainer. His older sister Biscuit was far to busy working today and the little 'minions' were at school so they couldn't come with him for such an important moment in his life but there had been a celebration the night before so he wasn't to broken up about it; the cake had been good. Of course the Nurse had been a little surprised when he had politely turned down the chance to get a pokemon for free but she hadn't raised much of a fuss; No doubt she was used to some trainers having pokemon before they registered and got their pokedex which was fair enough. Turning to walk towards the nearby pokemart to try and bolster the supplies he had received after registering a bit, he quietly mused to himself how he would go about earning his first pokemon. In a way, it depended largely on what kind of pokemon he wanted to go after. A water type wouldn't take much; A fishing pole and some halfway decent bait would go a long way to ensuring that all he would have to do is find a decent spot to sit and wait. A normal type would only require him walking along the route to Pallet Town and if he wanted bugs there was always the forest nearby... What to do... Before he could muse on the matter further, a loud, ear hurting screech caused him to cover his ears on reflex. Once the sound had passed, he turned his head towards where the dreadful shriek had come from while his hands lowered. That was most definitely a pokemon of some kind... maybe some kind of pokemon battle was going on? His interest somewhat peeked at the possibility of seeing a battle, he moved at a respectable but quick pace towards where he had heard the noise come from. Turning a corner, his gaze fell on an interesting sight; A boy not much older then himself who appeared to be a trainer, a bat pokemon of sorts that he suspected was the source of the screech he had heard earlier... and what appeared to be some sort of ghost wearing a wooden mask? Removing the pokedex from his pocket, he first pointed it at the bat pokemon. "Noibat, the Sound Wave Pokémon. A flying dragon type, Noibat can cause damage as well as create hearing problems for its opponents by emitting different sound wave frequencies. They live in pitch black caves. Even a robust wrestler will become dizzy and unable to stand when exposed to its 200,000-hertz ultrasonic waves." Turning his attention towards the ghost, he listened as his pokedex informed him that she was a "Phantump, the Stump Pokémon. A grass ghost type, Phantump come from rotting tree stumps that have been possessed by spirits. Lonely forests are their preferred habitat. According to old tales, these Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest." Closing his pokedex, he turned his attention towards the trainer as he offered him a friendly wave "Hey man. Are these pokemon yours?" Taking a moment to look at both pokemon again... before noticing that the Phantump wasn't there anymore. Still, he quickly complimented "You seem to have taken really good care of them if they are. They both look absolutely beautiful. Got any tips for someone who's just starting out?" [@Raijinslayer] [@Ashevelendar] [@TalijaKey]
